Firstly, when we first arrived at the hotel we had a bunch of questions and confusions, however, Maria was a PHENOMENAL help, she guided us through everything and helped us out with our confusions extremely quick and professionally, she deserves whatever ya’ll are able to give to her and she has made this stay exceptional. Secondly, the overall hotel is amazing. The breakfast and dinner (room-service) was insanely good, and was served very professionally. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable, some of the best sleep I have ever had. Even though I am on vacation, I am actually quite excited for the day to be over so I can sleep in the bed again. Overall phenomenal experience.

I’ve stayed at many W hotels over the years and generally enjoy the brand, but my recent stay at the W Austin was disappointing from start to finish. When I first checked in, I had dinner plans and left immediately after dropping my bags. Upon returning later that evening, I noticed visible shoe prints on both the bathroom floor and the wood floors in the room — not what you expect from a freshly cleaned room. As I went to bed, I detected a funky smell in the bedding. To their credit, housekeeping did change out all the linens the next day as requested, but they didn’t properly clean the room afterward — only swapped out towels and did a light surface clean. We also tried the newly remodeled Serenade restaurant for breakfast. The experience was poor: • We waited 25 minutes for food in a nearly empty dining room. • My wife’s cheeseburger was overcooked and missing the bacon she ordered. • My breakfast was similarly subpar: overcooked eggs, soggy bacon, and cold potatoes. • The only saving grace was the fruit plate. Service was equally lacking — despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we received no coffee or water refills, and the server disappeared entirely. We had to physically get up and find someone just to pay the bill. I gave the W Austin a try after its recent remodel but won’t be returning. I’ll stick with the JW Marriott up the street where the service and cleanliness consistently meet expectations. It’s a shame, as I typically prioritize staying at W properties when available, but this visit missed the mark on too many fronts.

Fantastic weekend stay at the hotel, staff was courteous and inviting. The room was well appointed and clean, with a great view of Ladybird lake. Bathrobes by Frette with a nice choice of bath products. One recommendation I’d like to make for the W is a hotel within the FHR program should consider providing additional toiletries for guests like toothbrush/paste, hair brush etc. While most guests are likely to bring their own, having supplies available at the hotel on request would be a welcome perk. The restaurant/lounge was beautifully decorated with great breakfast options. The spa/gym was excellent with a decent assortment of machines and weights. The pool area is very popular and music can get loud during the day but not to obnoxious volumes. Overall a very enjoyable stay in Austin, would not hesitate recommending to young adults!

Modern hotel with clean rooms & eclectic designs. Easy to book an accessible room at the last minute. My partner & I mostly stay here for the spa.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I spent one night in Austin for a work-related meanings. Overall the hotel is nice, contemporary decor it's decently done for those who likes that style. Rooms work clean and well-kept how do I felt a little smaller. The restaurant downstairs it was very good. I was not triller when someone knocked at my door in the evening and which seemed like a employee offering chocolate in water but when I question who was he he said he didn't know how to speak english. That was not good at all. Parking was valet only and $55 a day, I told was a little too expensive. Pool and pool deck work closed for maintenance but I did not see any maintenance happening. So not bad but not great especially for the price.

Mike and Jordan were super helpful in planning a Valentine’s Day surprise for my girlfriend and delivering stuff to her room. They went out of their way to help! Highly recommend anyone stay here, customer service is amazing

Amazing hotel! The rooms were spacious, had great views and it was quiet. The service was also amazing, all we had to do was click a button in the Marriott App and they would send up whatever we need. Hotel is also super close to a nice walking trail. 11/10 highly recommend
