The Upper Story is an East Austin Guesthouse located near the numerous bars and restaurants on East Cesar Chavez and East 6th Street. The Upper Story invites you to engage in a dialogue with the neighborhood's history through every detail. Please appreciate everything Austin has to offer, but take time to learn about your surroundings and the history that surrounds you. We went into every nook and corner of the house with great care. We wanted to optimize space while still making the house feel light and airy. Every piece of art in the house represents Texas, both in terms of the artist and creator as well as the image itself. Even the Upper Story has its own mural in the backyard. Your stay can't get more Austin than this.
