This genuinely just happened. Walked in with half a muffin in a sealed cardboard box from a bakery. Staff immediately treated it like I'd bypassed security at a pharmaceutical cleanroom. Apparently the celiacs dining here are sensitive enough to detect airborne gluten through cardboard from across the room. I know people that suffer from celiacs but I don’t know anyone that can absorb gluten via osmosis through a box. I even told them I wouldn’t open it which was met with shock as I’d promised not to light a stick of dynamite.
Management actually had to be consulted to determine the threat level of my boxed muffin. While they deliberated, I decided that any restaurant operating under the delusion that a sealed box is a genuine biohazard wasn't somewhere I wanted to eat. Left without ordering. The confidence with which this was all handled, without a single flicker of embarrassment, was genuinely impressive. Definitely the dumbest thing I’ve encountered in a long time so 5 stars for the entertainment.

Spent our anniversary in Austin and the service was 10/10. Food was delicious. I got steak frites and my boyfriend got the tacos. So delicious! It’s refreshing to find a place that is healthier around here! we even got champagne to celebrate!

I wish I could rate this place higher! The staff are amazing and so welcoming. We are on holiday from Australia and we loved it here so much we come every day. Shout out to Bernese and Elise for your wonderful service x

Great offerings for gluten intolerant individuals or those that have more strict dietary concerns. My partner tried the gluten free bolognese and the execution was excellent. The noodles were the best we have both tasted.
Service was friendly and considerate of dietary restrictions as well which was pleasant.
Will be back!

Excellent food but mediocre service. I was greeted by 2 unfriendly, snooty hostesses who treated me like I was beneath them. Our server was fine but lacking.
I would come back for the food because it was so healthy and flavorful.

Nice gem in downtown Austin. Great gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and omnivore options. Lovely atmosphere. Attentive staff. Food looked and tasted amazing. Fresh, organic, creative options. Good choice for all diners.

We tried ceviche it was bland, Brussels sprouts were great, tacos lacked flavor, sirloin steak tough for Wyagu. Overall underwhelming

Our favorite restaurant in Austin! Dedicated gluten free and one of the nicest we have been to anywhere in the country! Wonderful selection even if you’re not gluten free. Service was great. They’ve got the formula right!

This was our first time for dinner and drinks at The Well. I can not express how fantastic our experience was. The atmosphere is luxurious, the food delicious and the service impeccable. Everyone was inviting, friendly and accommodating. The bartender, Natalie and our server, Kendall, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was a positive one. I HIGHLY recommend The Well!

The food was incredibly fresh and so flavorful! It was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and attention into sourcing the best ingredients and preparing them in a way that highlights their natural taste. My favorite dish was the revive bowl and the potato hash. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and I left feeling satisfied without feeling overly full. I also appreciate that the entire menu is gluten-free, as it can be difficult to find dining options that cater to those with dietary restrictions. We will definitely be back!

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Austin. The service is outstanding and everyone is so positive. The staff seems like one big family. The food is to die for. You feel great after you eat, unlike other restaurants. It is so rare to find a place where you feel good after eating and you know you are eating high quality food. There is nothing not to like. The atmosphere on top of everything else is amazing. It is so relaxing and trendy. I also had the chance to talk to the owners and they are the sweetest most down to earth people. They truly care about their customers. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Before we even get to the food: the restaurant has beautiful decor, lively atmosphere, and incredibly nice wait staff. The menu is full of items that sound delicious. The kale lentil salad is super flavorful, the chicken was great and the veggies served with it would have been great on their own - delicious. The avocado mousse topped it off and ended the meal on a perfectly rich, creamy, and delicious high note.
