Lesson one for Midnight Cowboy, reservations are required. Lesson two, you have to find the secret door and ring the bell to gain entry. This Austin speakeasy goes all out in creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the 1920s. Once occupied by a brothel under the name Midnight Cowboy Modeling Oriental Massage, you still must seek out the old Midnight Cowboy Modeling sign if you want to find the door.

It was a Tuesday evening in May. We’d had a super chilled day and wanted to end the evening in a similar vein. New in town, we thought a quiet roof top bar would be the way to go. Not so. REALLY, NOT SO. Eventually we stumbled upon Midnight Cowboy, and thank the heavenly, tarot, brothel, cocktail gods we did. A perfect day just got even better. Can’t thank the beautiful humans attending us enough! If you want a truly descent drink, served by knowledgeable individuals in genuinely interesting surroundings, look no further. A thousand stars out of 10.

If you like fraudulent charges on your CC bill, this place is for you! After my party of 5 spent two hours here and a $250+ tab, we were charged $75 for a no show fee. I emailed them several times but no response. Had to dispute the charge with my CC company.
This on top of very mediocre drinks, including one that tasted like lemon water and served with a small cup of tortilla chips and stale cream corn (looking at you, Halcyon Daze).
You'll get better cocktails at any upscale restaurant or bar and likely won't be charged an additional $75 on the sly.
This used to be a great place. We were there on a Friday night and it was not even half full. Seems the rest of Austin has already gotten the message about it.

Beautiful speakeasy! Drinks are elevated and well themed. They have the Arcana menu that is beautiful!

You do need a reservation to get in, so plan ahead.

We were recommended this speakeasy by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Loved the decor, vibe, history, and the breakdown of cocktails during cart side service. Make sure to book this speakeasy if you are a cocktail lover in Austin.

Very cool spot!! Drinks were very tasty. Waiter was very helpful on what drink to get. Definitely recommend.

Very chic, cool, intimate speakeasy. They have kept the interiors and vibe to be very prohibition era esque. The cocktails are absolute craftsmanship. Unfortunately, when we went they were understaffed, so we didn’t get the whole experience. This is a must try spot and we will return soon

One of my favorite speakeasy bars in Austin. This is the second time I have been here and they changed the menu a bit. The drinks are still carefully crafted and you can tell once you take the first sip. I ordered the Ciao Bella, which was a rum based drink that they had a bit of fire to it. They also can make the classics drinks and we also enjoyed a whiskey sour.
