I had booked this hotel for my wedding night on August 9th. I went to check in the room and drop off our bags at around 3:30. At that time everything seemed great and I was expecting a wonderful night. I left and had told the person at the front desk that I was going to go get married and would be back later that evening. When I came back at around 11:15 that night some guy named Drew was supposedly the only staff there at that time. I had ordered almost all the upgrades they offered me through an email. Upon entering the room I noticed that there was no charcuterie board and no cocktail drink mix kit. So I simply went to the front desk and let Drew know. His response very sarcastically was, “I am so glad I get to deal with this with you tonight.” Then instead of offering to get the items and bring them to my room he said he would refund me the amount paid. I thought this was unacceptable and tried to plead with him that I just got married and this is my wedding night. He did not care like at all. This has to be one of the most horrible customer service experiences I have ever experienced. It’s what you would expect from a motel 6 in the middle of nowhere. This Drew has no decorum or bed side manner. At one point he was pacing behind the desk and waving his fingers in my face. I actually felt threatened and decided after talking to my wife we would leave and either go home or find another hotel. I do not recommend this place for evening check ins, or at all for that matter. I sent an email to Daniel West who is supposed to be the General Manager about the situation and he did not even bother to respond. All of it is absolutely unacceptable and I would not recommend anyone stay here. I ended up saving my wedding night by staying at The Otis, which allowed me an immediate check-in.

While we ultimately decided on a different venue for our wedding, I cannot recommend Hotel Ella and their Senior Sales Manager- Maria Alvisi enough! From the moment we started working with her, she was incredibly helpful, professional, and attentive. She made sure we had all the information we needed and was always available to answer any questions we had, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless. Her attention to detail and dedication to making our event as special as possible were truly remarkable. She’s incredibly good at her job, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her clients. The beauty of Hotel Ella only added to the experience—it’s a stunning venue with so much character. Although we didn’t end up booking the venue for our wedding (we chose a different venue because the date was my fiancé’s grandparents’ courthouse wedding date, making it very special to us), we were genuinely impressed with how wonderful she made the entire process. She was, by far, one of the most pleasant and easy-to-work-with professionals we encountered in our wedding planning journey. Taking the time to write this review, despite not booking the venue, exemplifies how wonderful our experience with Maria truly was. Anyone who chooses Hotel Ella or works with Maria will be in incredible hands. You can rest assured that you’ll be supported every step of the way, making your big day that much more unforgettable.

Enjoyed the new menu they rolled out, clearly! Great flavors, good portions - highly recommend. Love the new event series they’re incorporating in their calendar. Definitely going back soon!

We came in town for a memorial so we were already in a somber mood but what a beautiful stay and respite from the hard emotional things that we were going through. We thought it was beautiful breakfast at the hotel was delicious. They were awesome to give us waters as we left for the day and check out was easy as text. I highly recommend this place. The rooms were beautiful and who doesn’t like a charcoal nude on the wall.

My husband and I loved the Ella hotel. It looks like the perfect place for parties and weddings. I stayed at the Ella to convalesce after a medical procedure. The staff was beyond accommodating, and we enjoyed the hotel dining, gardens, pool, and comfortable rooms. The valet staff were very helpful in getting me around when I wasn't feeling my best.

Have come here twice now for work events using their catering services. Highly recommend them if you need to host an event. They are friendly, professional, and put out great brunch choices with options for everyone. They have valet parking and those staff members are also efficient and a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful experience here! One of the best in west campus. Beautiful little hotel that has everything you need. Kyle the bartender was great to us, as was the manager with the big ears. Have already booked my next stay. 10/10

This is the most picturesque venue I have been to to work a wedding recently. It doesn't feel too formal but it is very nice. It is in no way stuffy but still quite high-end. I can't imagine an event much bigger than the one I attended there which had around 80 people, but it was very lovely and everyone had a great time in spite of the rain that came just as dinner was served.

My husband and I were in Austin for a wedding and the rehearsal dinner was at the hotel and was one of two recommended stays for out of town guests. We had a wonderful experience and will not only go back but we will request the same room. We came with a dog and it was perfect to have a room in the extension with a private enclosed outdoor space outside the bedroom. The room and bathroom were very clean with nice quality sheets and towels, a perfect size nice bathroom. Only thing missing was a nice tub. The staff was great, bar has delicious top quality cappuccinos and the price was good. We highly recommend it!!!
