Shhhhh…let’s keep this one between us… What a find! From the minute we walked in, we felt like we’d entered a totally different world.
Our hostess greeted us so warmly, then Trish took amazing care of us. Our drinks, food and service couldn’t have been better. Absolutely stellar.
Zoë was such a wonderful ambassador for Devil May Care and Austin, offering such great advice and ideas as we explore our new city.
We will absolutely be back. The vibe and atmosphere were just perfect.

MI genuinely love this place. I’ve been to Devil May Care alone, on date nights, and out with friends, and it has never missed. The food is always delicious (and I love that so much of it is perfect for sharing), the cocktails are great, and the whole moody, underground atmosphere just makes you want to stay awhile. It’s one of those rare places that feels just as good sitting at the bar by yourself as it does dressed up for a night out. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Austin.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I first heard about this place because they were offered as a catering option for a work event I planned at another location. The catering experience was flawless so we decided to check out the actual location and finally got over to it last weekend.
Every part of our dinner was phenomenal. The service was fast and attentive, and I had probably two of the best cocktails I've ever had here. One of which is the Tomatini - very highly recommend if you like caprese.

We absolutely loved the food! I’ve been here before as a bar, but had no idea they had such a great kitchen. The lamb lollipops were super juicy and tender, lamb pasta scrumptious, and hummus and whipped feta just great. The portions are small but very filling.

It's ironic how the name of this place is "Devil May Care" because it is anything but carefree or easy going. I thought that Austin establishments, especially newer ones, would be open-minded and inclusive. However, it seems like classist clubs that enforce silly dress codes are still a thing of the present. I'm waiting to be enlightened on how a man with a sleeveless button-down shirt was a detriment to the environment, which barred us entry into the business. I didn't know that this would be the culture, but perhaps I was fooled by the token "Cumbia night" that made me assume that they catered to the Latinx crowd, therefore the rest of the minority crowds.

We were super excited to come for Cumbia on Wednesday night. It was super hot outside at night (still like 95 degrees) and my friend was wearing a nice buttondown sleeveless shirt, and we were turned away at the door because the manager said that men are not allowed to wear sleeveless shirts on the premises. I guess they value enforcing an arbitrary gender based dresscode over taking our money and allowing us to have a good time at the establishment. These types of dress codes are the antithesis of Austin's culture, but the host was super sweet and apologetic about it all...

Very sexy vibe, appetizers, music, cocktails, atmosphere. The food and drinks came out a little too fast for me. It's a place where you just want to chill and take in the vibe.
