    What makes it fun

The word 'Yamas' is an invocation of good health and a celebration of life in Greek culture. 'Yamas' is derived from the term 'στηv υγεια μας', which means 'to our health,' and represents our family's enduring hope for the well-being, happiness, and success of others. It's more than just a phrase; it's a genuine wish from our family to yours. At Yamas, we seek to instill this spirit in all aspects of our operations. It's our tribute to the value of health, joy, and genuine friendships, all of which are firmly embedded in our Greek history. We ask you to join us in saying 'Yamas' and celebrating not just the food and drink we share, but also the communal warmth and hospitality that are at the heart of Greek culture.

Every dish we tried was incredibly flavorful and prepared with care. The ambiance provided a perfectly pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this establishment for its outstanding food and service.

We came here as a party of 10 with reservations for a friends bday.

The place is super cute. Loved the mural artwork, great photo opportunities.

The waiter seemed generally annoyed to do his job which was off putting considering we dropped over a grand as a group and he was tipped well.

The food we ordered started out strong then went downhill. The mussels and keftitakia Greek meatballs were delicious. The braised short rib had good flavor, but 1 of the 2 pieces was overcooked and tough. The scallops were incredibly disappointing. They were tiny, overcooked and covered in toppings (to try and hide the poor execution?) then we ordered 2 desserts the baklava and the flourless chocolate cake. The cake looked like the chocolate sauce on top had broken. Someone mentioned the layer of oil around it could be a drizzle of good olive oil so I took a bite. It was pretty terrible. The baklava had a crazy amount of pistachio filler and not enough filo dough, the pastry that was there was not crispy, and could not be cut with a fork bc it was saturated with honey.

All in all, I don’t know if I would come back. Especially for the prices. If it hadn’t been my friends birthday I would’ve sent back the scallops and chocolate cake bc they were unacceptable but I didn’t want to make a fuss on her special occasion. The waiters disposition was the (broken) icing on the cake. Pun intended.

I’ve been here a few times and it is always amazing! True Greek food and the owners are delightful. You feel like you’re at the family restaurant in Greece. Vibes and ambience are always a plus too. You feel alive just like you would in Greece.

Octopus not pictured, but 10/10. Crispy Feta is also a must. Pictures are of the Moussaka,
    Steak kabob, and dessert.

I recently visited Yamas for dinner and had a pleasant overall experience. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see that the restaurant offered a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. While the number of vegetarian options wasn't extensive, the quality of the food more than made up for it.
We started with the Spicy Feta, Crispy Feta, and Graveira Saganaki, and all three dishes were excellent. The Spicy Feta had a wonderful balance of creaminess and heat, while the Crispy Feta was perfectly textured with a delicious contrast between the crunchy exterior and soft interior. The Graveira Saganaki was rich, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal.
The Greek Truffle Fries were another standout item. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of truffle flavor without being overpowering. To finish the meal, we ordered dessert, which was equally impressive and provided a perfect ending to an enjoyable dining experience.
The indoor seating area had a warm and inviting ambiance that made the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The décor and atmosphere felt relaxed yet upscale. However, the outdoor seating area was much less pleasant. It was quite hot and humid during our visit, and there were a lot of flies and mosquitoes, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal outside.
One downside was the pricing. While the food quality was undoubtedly good, I felt that the overall cost was on the higher side for two people ($100). The experience and flavors were enjoyable, but the bill felt a bit steep compared to similar dining options.
Overall, Yamas delivers tasty Greek cuisine with some good vegetarian dishes, a great indoor ambiance, and memorable appetizers and desserts. Despite the limited vegetarian selection, expensive pricing, and less comfortable outdoor seating area, I would still recommend it for those looking to enjoy quality Greek food in a pleasant setting.

We had an excellent lunch here. First, the decor and ambiance immediately brought us back to Santorini. Very well done, and beautiful. Second, the service was very nice - checking in regularly and always making sure we had what needed. Third, the food was all delicious. The octopus was perfect - as good as the best we had in Greece. The moussaka was better than what I recall in Greece, and quite delicious. The shrimp ouzo was also very good. The steak and eggs was nice, but could have used a bit more char, and was a bit tough. Not the best cut, although the mushrooms and sauce were great. The Greek white wine we selected was also excellent. Prices are perhaps a tad high, but portions are generous. We left stuffed. We will definitely come back.

This was our first time there, and we got there at 5:30 on a Wednesday without a reservation. In addition, they were having a special event that required prior reservations. Luckily they had their outdoor patio open so we got seated. We ordered 2 items from the appetizer menu and they were more than enough for the 2 of us. The fried eggplant Veggie Chips and the Grilled Octopus* GF were both great. The service was excellent and we got an Ekmek Kataifi and baklava to go! We will definitely go back again. Great time and wonderful authentic Greek food and surroundings.

The moment we arrived the clean white washed building reminded me of my trip to Oia in Santorini. We were seated immediately which was early for our reservation. Our server Jade greeted us promptly an delivered us some waters. She then asked what we would like to start off with drinks. I explained to her that i wanted an experience in Greek food and drinks. She said well let’s start with some Ouzo. She brought it neat but provided us with some ice chips and juice. She said it is consumed several ways but allowed us the options. My wife ordered the Artemis spritz which she said was the exact drink she needed at that moment. Props to the bar staff on that one.

We started our meal with several appetizers at the recommendation of some friends. Dolmadakia, Graviera Saganaki, and Seabass Carpaccio. I want to say the dolmas were my favorite but that was more nostalgia because the Seabass was incredible. It was so clean with just the right amount of citrus. I could have had just that and been satisfied.

For our mains we ordered Filet minion Souvlaki and the Lamb chops. The lamb chops came with Greek fries which were extremely tasty and perfectly cooked. We got the rice with the filet mignon souvlaki and I dare say stole the show of that dish. We loved the mains as well but it is nice when the sides carry their weight.

We finished the meal with Baklava, of course. By this point in pain from the amount of food but happy.

Jade really took care of us. Her recommendations showed mastery of the menu. Her charisma was infectious. She really nailed that balance of attentive when needed and absent when not. It was after all date night. High marks. Thank you

This review is regarding their reservation cancellation policy, as well as being misled by a Yamas employee.

My husband and I were looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately needed to cancel our reservation due to our toddler's babysitter canceling the day of our reservation. I called the morning of our reservation to explain our situation, and the Yamas employee told me they would have to charge me the $50 ($25 per person) 24-hour cancellation fee regardless of our reason. I said I understood the 24-hour cancellation policy when I booked, but obviously these circumstances were out of our control and I think there should be some forgiveness from the restaurant. The Yamas employee said if we wanted to avoid getting charged, to move the reservation instead. I felt backed into a corner, so I agreed to that and moved it out a week. A few days later, I called to cancel, this time well ahead of the 24-hour cancellation window. The Yamas employee I spoke to said I had already moved our reservation "several times" (untrue) and that she would need to check with the owner about not charging us. She said management would call me to let me know if we would be charged or not. No one ever called, and that was over a week ago. Today, my credit card was charged $50 by the restaurant. With no notice. No call. No communication as promised by the employee I spoke to.

We won't ever be dining at this establishment, which is a shame because we were really looking forward to going when we eventually could.

Lovely atmosphere. My first time here.
Was told it was traditional Greek food and saw a burger and salmon on the menu! Ha! I tried the burger and my lunch companion tried the salmon. The other person in our part tried the chicken. The food was quite good.
Items are a little pricey for what you get, but the place is what does it. You can really enjoy the place.
    Overall, good atmosphere.

My husband and I went to Yamas on a Friday night for a date away from the kiddos and we enjoyed our time! The atmosphere inside and out is beautiful and well done, although I dislike that the patio is on the main road by the first station so you can hear the cars and trucks. They did play music later in the evening that seemed a tiny bit too loud at first but wasn't too bad once we got used to it. It was pretty quiet when we first got there around 5pm and then it became pretty busy, but that didn't interrupt the WONDERFUL service they offered. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly, acknowledged by any staff member that passed us, and waited on attentively and frequently. Everybody seemed really nice and our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped with our questions, as we had never eaten at a Greek restaurant before. We ordered the Calamari (squid appetizer), Astakomakaronada (lobster pasta), Giouvetsi (short rib pasta), Ekmek Kataifi (custard/cream-type dessert), and two drinks- the Artemis Spritz and Santorini Mule. We both thought everything was good (especially the dessert!) with the exception of the lobster pasta. Tbh I was not impressed- it was too bland and I felt like it could have been spruced up with a little something more (especially for the price). I wish I could have ordered some drinks and from the raw bar menu as I love raw food and the waiter recommended the sea bass but alas, I am preggo and am not taking that risk right now. But I will be returning specifically for the raw food and drinks! Overall a unique experience, Santorini-esqu vibe, and welcoming staff.

We had an awesome dinner. I was so full from trying the mezes that I wasn’t able to order the Bronzino that I came for. The octopus was very tender. Beautiful atmosphere and great service

I think it was opening night. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was good and the food was fantastic. I had the cod and my wife had the lobster linguini. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The wine selection was very good. I hope they add craft beer soon. There is a lot of bar seating and the decor is very interesting. I'll be back. If the parking lot is full you can park at the church right next door.

Incredible quality of the food… Tzatziki and octopus were unbelievable but not less incredible than mood and ambiance. Cocktails were fun with a Greek twist.
    Definitely will be back soon!
