The build your own charcuterie is expensive but I get why they have it set up that way. Shop is cute, love the vibes!

I was so excited to find this place yesterday - I'm a native Austinite & always looking for the new spots I don't know about cause I'm a busy mom & live way south. So I had an hour to kill on the east side & literally thought "man if I could find a bookstore/coffeeshop to hang out in for a bit life would be golden". And a quick Google search led me to this place which even had wine! It's in an historic house on E. 11th & you can wander through all the little rooms & explore different nooks & books while enjoying a glass of wine (I did the chilled red Spanish - delish!) or an espresso. There was a book club meeting in a bigger room, laughing & communing & a few folks working or reading quietly. There's even a record player upstairs (with headphones!) where you can enjoy some vintage vinyl. Fun to discover a new "vintage" spot in town! I'll def be back.

We stumbled upon Vintage bookstore and wine bar when we just finished a really heavy meal and needed to unwind. Walking in from 105° weather, the AC was most welcoming. However, your attention quickly moves to the many types of books and cute little nooks around the entire store. There’s also a bar that serves small bites, nonalcoholic drinks, coffee and alcoholic drinks. I don’t think I was able to discover the full extent of this place but I definitely need to come back and explore more. Everything is like an exciting maze because you never know what nook you’re gonna wind up at. We were able to snag a quiet nook with the sci-fi and fantasy books and enjoyed some hot tea while we let our food digest. I’m so happy we found this place and can’t wait to revisit.

This bookstore is one of Austin’s best hidden-in-plain-sight gems.

It’s tucked away just three blocks from downtown in a beautiful old two-story house that has been turned into a bookstore, wine bar, and coffee shop. Each room has its own type of books, along with original artwork, so it feels fun just wandering from room to room.

There are plenty of places to sit inside, plus outdoor seating on both floors. If you head upstairs, you’ll find a great view of downtown while you sip a glass of wine and flip through your newest book.

The staff really know their books and their wine, and I love that you can walk around the store with your glass in hand while you browse.

My only suggestion would be to add a small collection of vintage magazines. I’d probably never leave.

Vintage Bookstore and Wine Bar is an absolute gem and one of my favorite spots in the city. The combination of a carefully curated book selection and a wonderful wine bar is truly unique and makes for such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff is warm, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about both books and wine. Whether you are looking for your next great read or simply want to unwind with a glass of wine in a cozy setting, this place has it all. It has quickly become my go to spot and I recommend it to everyone I know.

This is a unique book store and I loved the concept. They serve you wine or non alcoholic drinks and mocktails and you can take it anywhere in the book store and read a book you got or browse through their selections. They have lots of seating and I loved the different rooms and the whole entire vibe of this book store. It was so quiet and so peaceful to read, get your work done or do something creative. I’d definitely want to come back here and read for a while.

This place is such an amazing addition to Austin! I fully expected it to be a hollow place for TikTok backgrounds, which it absolutely is not. It feels like a community center in the best way - a place to study, work, shop, grab a coffee, etc. I love that they have a free community box so you can share your old books with others. They have hilarious and relatable “cheese” categorizations for some of their books. The space is breathtaking and feels restorative. I love this spot so much!

What could possibly be bad about wine and books? NOTHING. I tell you, absolutely nothing is wrong here. The atmosphere is welcoming, homey, comfortable - and the staff and patrons alike are happy to engage in conversation about their recommendations and best reads! Oh, if I lived here, I would hang out ALL the time.

Moving from room to room of this storied old former house, general store, law office, bar, and probably more, gives you different little alcoves to peruse their selection of both the newest in print, or upstairs you'll find the used and vintage books you remember from your youth (or even before!).

Pull up a couch, a chair, a table - try a glass of wine, cider, beer, or a cocktail. I mean - it's just perfect. And while you're there be polite and say hi to Edith, one of their ghosts. It couldn't hurt, could it?

I will be back here every time I visit Austin!

Stepping into this multi-floor bookstore in East Downtown Austin feels like being transported straight into a European library. The winding layout leads you through cozy little rooms, each one with its own personality—colorful walls, quirky furniture, and tucked-away nooks that make you want to curl up with a good book for hours. 🌿

It’s not just a place to browse shelves—it’s a space to be. You’ll find students and creatives here with laptops open, quietly working, while others get lost in a novel. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance: lively enough to feel inspiring, yet calm enough to stay focused.

Whether you’re on a solo adventure, looking for a study spot, or just craving that timeless bookstore charm, this hidden gem offers a magical escape right in the middle of Austin. Bring a coffee, bring your laptop, bring a book—you’ll never want to leave. ☕💻📖✨

Stumbled upon this place while in the neighborhood for dinner, and I'm happy I did. I love the setup with the different rooms for lounging/reading. The games & (overpriced) wine are a bonus. 4 stars for the pricing, but in this economy it's understandable. I'll definitely return!

I love coming here for the lovely setting but the prices for what they serve are ridiculous. I ordered a latte here and it was 6.50 and it was in the smallest cup ever. It was even only halfway full. It felt like the biggest ripoff Id gotten in a while. Just insane to charge $6 for 1/4 a cup of coffee.

    Cute place, love the concept!
Has range of wine selection+ beer & some cocktails. Quite a few different rooms to relax off of the main entrance area with different types of cozy furniture. Would definitely visit again plan to stay longer.
Wine - $9 for box, $11/13/14 for other glasses (not a big pour) & can also get full bottles. I enjoyed the Moscato (light & refreshing from the heat).

The soup dumplings are extraordinary. The pineapple puff pastry is wonderful, it tastes like your grandmother handmade a pie crust. The Chinese sausage rice is fantastic with a little chili sauce. The salt and pepper shrimp is to die for. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wishes to enjoy some authentic Chinese food.

The menu is on the verge of overwhelming in the best way. EVERYTHING looked tasty. We tried the banana sticky rice, the original soufflé pancake, and several bobas. I’d order it all again, and would also try literally everything else on the menu. Although it’s not my style, the fanciful interior with larger than life blooms, twinkle lights and plush pink seats was delightful. A great place for a special treat! Bonus, free parking in the garage.
