Everyone was so nice! I reached out ahead of time to make a couple of special requests and they replied so quickly and accommodated my requests. Then, upon our arrival, they were the nicest front desk team I've encountered in a very long time---and I work for hotels! Everyone was accommodating and friendly from the valet team to the coffee bar to the pool staff. I didn't run into anyone who wasn't helpful during the entire stay. The rooms are smaller than your typical rooms, so be prepared. It did not bother me, because they still had everything I needed. The bed was so comfortable. I loved the Body Wash/Shampoo products in the shower. I'm ordering some for my home! Thank you to Nick at the front desk for the warm welcome and giving us a full rundown of what the hotel and area have to offer. We were visiting from NY and this hotel experience helped make our Austin trip even better! We will be back!

We loved our stay at tommie Austin. Awesome location for the 6th St bars and we loved the hotel and room’s unique style/decor. Also appreciated the in-room sound machine. I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed here with our pup and had the best experience! Beautiful pool and rooftop views, extremely walkable location.

Hyatt should be ashamed. When I informed front desk room was inadequate and would be checking out within a hour of check in they attempted to charge $300 for one nights stay. I said absolutely not and they caved. Terrible service. Be more up front this is dorm/hostel level room not $300 hotel level. Not business travel level. Trendy area, nice pool and restaurant but rooms awful for business travel. Smaller than nyc rooms. No real bathroom just a wet room with no sink or counter. Zero privacy. No furniture in room but bed. No closet, chair, desk just bed in a shoebox with rv size sink in room. No where for women to get ready. I left and went to Otis autograph room is ten times larger. Great location but terribly claustrophobic and poor design for comfort.

We are currently staying at the Tommy Austin - JDV by Hyatt Hotel in Austin. It’s now 1:00 AM. Since 11 PM, we’ve been hearing extremely loud music from either the neighboring room or the room above us. Given that the hotel is located in a lively area and it’s a Saturday night, we initially assumed the noise was coming from outside. However, the music continued nonstop until 1:00 AM, and the smell of weed became so strong in our room that it gave us a headache. We called the front desk, and while the music stopped about 5 minutes later, the weed smell got even worse—and now we can even hear moaning sounds and noise coming from the room. We requested to change rooms, but were told there were no other rooms available. This has been the worst experience we’ve had at any Hyatt property. We’ve stayed at many Hyatt hotels before, but this has truly been unacceptable.

Terrible hotel, very, very, very noisy , very thin walls you can hear somebody clearing their throat all night long next-door let alone you can hear their TV . people moving the bar chair across the floor can be heard from multiple rooms away. Very noisy on the fifth floor from outside down on the street which is understandable since were near sixth Street . very very tiny rooms the barstool is the only place to sit in the room. It’s only big enough for one person the heating and air conditioning unit sounds like a freight train. Very large unit for a very very tiny room contracted hotel staying there for work. Did not get a restful night sleep.

My partner and I loved our time at the Tommie. Shayla went out of her way to make it a special weekend for us. I'd highly recommend staying here. The gym and pool were incredible, and its in a great location. 6th street was a little loud below, but they provided earplugs which allowed us to sleep fine. The room was nice, but a little small. Overall the location and amenities more than made up for it being slightly small. We will definitely be back in the future!

Loved my stay! The front desk and concierge staff were super friendly. Saige helped me out as I was taking a quick pit stop through Austin for my birthday and was able to provide me with memorable service (champagne and cookie in the room, candle making class, restaurant recommendations). The room itself was very clean and had a great view of the city and pool. Wax Myrtle is a great, on site restaurant / pool bar with amazing views of the city. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Austin.

First time in Austin and wanted to stay in a place that had destinations that were walkable. Well, the location was outstanding and the hotel itself was even better. Considering it was New Year’s Eve, the place was fully staffed with extremely kind, patient and helpful individuals. From the moment I pulled up, someone was helping me unload my car, valet was easy, and check-in was extremely efficient. All of the amenities at the hotel were fantastic, including the pool and the food/drink options. I also walked around A LOT - access to the state capital, the riverside walking and getting across the bridge to so many attractions. And then 6th Street is right there to enjoy the variety of bars. The room was very comfortable - a little on the small side, but they did a great job of designing the room so it seems more spacious. Bottom line - I’d recommend this place highly and I will be there again next time I’m in town.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the USGP weekend. This hotel is located in Austin downtown, next to the so-called "never sleep 6th street". The design of the room is pretty good, and is not surprised for this room size at downtown. As a globalist of Hyatt, I would like to try different brands in their group.Sadly, the first night after took a shower, we found the bathroom was leaking. My husband called the front desk to ask someone to help and decided to request room change. The staff just sent us to the next door with same design and same street view even we still worried about the water issue might happen again. However, it was nearly midnight, we were really tired and just wanted to lie down. The truth is, next day still with same issue there but we cleaned up by ourselves. I personally think the bathroom sliding door is poorly designed since I could clear to see that where the water seeps into the room. Oh, someone sent a small bag with two bottles of sparkling water and chocolates to us, and a handwriting card attached. Anyway, thank you for the amenities even there was no pool view at all.BTW the breakfast at The Grey Market and Diner Bar both were pretty good, and servers offered nice service too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tommie. Wonderful staff! The room was small, but smartly designed to make optimal use of the space. The amenities were excellent. I don’t know that I’ve slept in a more comfortable bed and the pillows were exceptional - this is a 5 star quality sleep experience. White noise machine provided. Location can’t be beat, either.
