What makes it fun

Inspired by a changing world and challenged by a generation of traditionalists, Ruby started conversations that went far beyond the table around which she invited friends and strangers alike, as she collected mementos for her new collection. It's really just an expression of friendship through, music, furniture and art. Her dappled spot along Brushy Creek is evidence of a life indeed well lived.

We stayed here back in 2020 and the room had one of the most beautiful views. We ended up moving to Round Rock a few months later and I believe staying at the hotel and the experience we had downtown helped make that decision!

Amazing hotel with a great location. Wonderful restaurants nearby, close to the river. Room was beautiful, and the bar had wonderful service from Kristina and Mortiz! They also have electric guitars you can try for free and a cinema :)

Stayed here for an anniversary trip with my husband and it was great! Staff was friendly, rooms were great! Patios, bar and food were awesome!

The pool area could definitely get a glow-up. It’s pretty bland, cold even when the weather is comfortable due to the shade. Although, I did enjoy the shade and surroundings of nature around the hotel. A temperature controlled pool would be a great. Maybe a hot tub.

Otherwise highly recommend!
*Kids probably wouldn’t find it super enjoyable. The Ruby is more about relaxation vs fun.

Love this little gem. Speakeasy vibe in the cocktail lounge with legit craft cocktails. Live music several times/week. Nice people. Great date night spot.

I cannot begin to thank the staff enough. I thought I had extended my stay after my Aunt had a stroke. In all the extreme stress and flurry of chaotic activity I evidently forgot. The manager/front desk woman called & texted me asking about my belongings in the room & if I would like them to pack them up & hold them at the desk. I didn't even hear my phone at first. I saw the text probably 30 min later and panicked. I called & she was so calm & helpful, told me not to worry, they would help me. I rushed to the hotel & she was able to thankfully put me in a different room & helped me carry my belongings to the room. The room was also very chic, what I expected in this boutique hotel, & I liked the views.

Finally got to stay at this hotel and the best part I liked about it was how quiet it was. Don't have to deal with all the noise of a traditional hotel of noise in the always. Easy check in and nice view from inside the rooms of the creek. I definitely recommend.

Small boutique hotel located in a small, mature neighborhood 4-minute walking distance to downtown Round Rock, TX. Refreshing change from staying at national chain hotels. Very clean, minimalist style room. Friendly service. The shower was the only issue with low water pressure with a luke-warm temperature. Overall great place to stay.

Our stay at The Ruby Hotel and Bar was incomparable to any of our past hotel stays. The rooms, décor, surroundings, and even the bar itself were a unique blend of retro and contemporary – so fun. For us, it presented numerous great photo opportunities!

The setting is peaceful, as it backs up to Brushy Creek, which is home to tons of birds and wildlife – the hotel even offers a package where you can rent binoculars to get up close and personal. The Ruby is also a short walk to the charm of downtown Round Rock, where there are numerous restaurants, bars, and options for live music. We were also able to make use of the clean and modern on-site gym, which is open 24hr/day.

Love the bar here. Very good staff. The first Saturday of every month they have a live musician there who is super talented.

Excellent old fashioned and truffle popcorn. They have a patio over looking brushy creek as well. 👍

This hotel is a true gem and perfect for a romantic get away. Its the type of place you both want to rave about because its so wonderful but also want to keep secret before it becomes too popular and you can no longer get a room. This two story hotel is located on on the banks of Brushy Creek in downtown Round Rock. Our room had beautiful big windows and a balcony overlooking the creek. The room was nicely decorated with deep green walls and a few decorations which gave the room charm without being cluttered. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean, and apportioned with lush towels. The hand soap and lotion smelled wonderful.

The property and grounds are well maintained. The layout of the hotel is akin to a motel with a covered walkway between the rooms. The walkways had pale green salt on them as they can become slick when it is wet or icy and we stayed a few days before a predicted freeze. The hallways were nicely lit and there were strings of lights lighting up the property at night. There is a lovely pool and several areas for outdoor seating that would be wonderful in nice weather.

The Ruby Bar located at the center of the property was the perfect place to share a bottle of wine and an intimate late night dinner. Although the menu is small, it had just the perfect thing for our late night dinner and offered a few shareables and dessert. I was pleased that the wine selection wasn't overly priced and was impressed with the Malbec we had and loved their wine glasses. The bar itself was nicely decorated for the holidays, and offered bar, table, and couch seating. The property map shows they also have a patio overlooking the creek.

All of the staff we interacted with were amazing including the woman at the front desk when we checked in and the bartender. That said they have a seamless check in process and we could have chosen to check in and out by text and never have had to interact with staff. Although we chose to check in in-person I like knowing that in the future we can do so by text. And we enjoyed our stay so much I imagine there will be a next time.

Great out of the way spot to unwind. A little music would have been perfect. Ambiance was wonderful, craft drinks were tasty and food was well executed. Beautiful scenery. For sure planning on getting a room at some point as everything else was fantastic. Street tacos and love me tender were standouts for me. Bit everything else was good too. You'll have to check it out to appreciate it.

We booked out the entire Ruby Hotel for our wedding block, and also did our rehearsal dinner at The Ruby Bar. Our guests LOVED the stay; we had so many compliments on our choice of wedding hotel! The staff at The Ruby are all wonderful, and working with Heaven to plan our rehearsal dinner was so incredibly easy! We highly recommend The Ruby, whether for a short weekend getaway or just for drinks and good food on a Friday night!

The Ruby is a hidden gem! Tucked away near downtown Round Rock, almost like it doesn't quite belong amidst the rustic oak, pine and cypress trees. The modern architecture, seems more appropriate for East Austin, but the contrast is beautiful and it fits perfectly in its sleepy location. The rooms are huge for today's hotel standards and the bathrooms are almost as big! The beds were very comfortable and were perfectly clean. Check in was a breeze and I truly enjoyed my stay. Peaceful, quiet and luxurious... now I need excuse to visit again.

This is such a gem of a hotel! I stayed here for the week while on business as a way to get away from the usual stuffy downtown atmosphere. I am so glad to have stayed here! The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Round Rock, where you'll find plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Rooms are eclectic, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The creek is charming with a host of birds and other wildlife that have made their home on the banks - and a little balcony to stop out onto allows for viewing! The bar opens at 7AM and is a great place to chat with others and have your morning coffee/beverage of choice. Kyle at the front desk was especially welcoming and animated, and the bar staff was wonderful too. Please keep up the great work with this place that has so much character and history!

I will definitely return for a stay if I'm ever in the area, as well as recommend that others check it out!
