Love the location. The hotel is beautiful. Love the roaring fork restaurant inside. Great food , loved the drinks & guacamole. The room was nice & clean. This is our pick when going to concerts or going out on sixth street.

Great staff. Very expensive for a room. Valet parking is a ripoff. Rooms are okay. Annoying light switches in rooms. Bed okay. Nice size rooms. Bathroom soso. Nice in-hotel bar and restaurants. Great staff. Great basement gym. Dirty hot tub in pool area. Near Texas State Capitol. Try Roaring Forks restaurant on first floor.

I stayed here on xmas of 2024 and holiday or not the service and the room was top notch! Hotel has great historical atmosphere with all the modern day conveniences.

Very spacious, comfortable, and attractive room. Conveniently located near many attractions. Courteous and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant and bar. Lots of charming lobby space.

This hotel was the worst. Please avoid. First, they will charge way more than you book for, claiming its in case of damages. My room was so much smaller than my travel companions. There was stains on my sheets when I got there and I had to call twice to get them changed. My bathroom door wouldn't even click shut. There was exposed wires and peeling paint. The pool was so chemically that I smelled like chlorine even after two showers. The room also never cooled down, making me think the thermostat was just for show. No free breakfast.

Can hear everything from the bars on the next street. The bass is blasting through the rooms until after midnight, so can't cover it with white noise, tv, etc. The hotel staff was nice but said there's nothing they can do.Room is super dated; they tried to cover the old desk chair with a weird, ill fitting cover.Coffee machine didn't work. Again, staff was nice about correcting.

I can not say enough how wonderful the valet guys are. So attentive. The front desk service was excellent. Easy check in and out. I did not love the lack of counterspace in my bathroom. But it's an older hotel that is very well maintained. in a perfect location for downtown.

Great hotel. You can tell it’s an historic, old building but it’s updated beautifully. The restaurant and bar are both nice, and the staff was great. Location is perfect right downtown and close to everything. Only minor complaint is how expensive the overnight valet is. I don’t understand why parking my car cost me nearly $60 but that’s a minor thing overall.

Great location for trips to the capitol and to downtown entertainment. 10-15 walk to UT, easy uber anywhere else. Spacious and well maintained rooms while keeping the character and history of the building. It's my favorite hotel in the area.
