What makes it fun

Speakeasy is composed of the Music Lounge, the Bowling Mezzanine (which overlooks the Music Lounge stage) and the Ballroom, the Kabaret Room and the rooftop lounge, Terrace59. These various sections have a great roaring 20's vibe and include stages for live music and performers, bars, bowling lanes, dance floors, pool table, and an outdoor space with a romantic view of the downtown skyline.

My friend and I had a great time chatting with bartender Josh and others for a few hours. Josh is the best at making drinks! He surprised us with unique but popular concoctions and I highly recommend stopping here. Thanks for everything Josh and his sidekick Ambrose with the most impeccable mustache!

Reece at the door was great! Band was awesome and drinks were great. Bartenders friendly up and downstairs! Pool sticks all need new tips but ping pong, bowling, goose all and giant connect 4 we're all super fun. Crowd ranges from mid 20s to upper 40s. Well dressed and lots of fun.

One of the best bars I’ve been to over the past 6 years. Something about it always pulls me back. The fact that there’s something different on every level of the bar makes it entirely unique, and my girlfriends and I have made an entire night out of just playing Ping Pong and Bowling on the second floor of Speakeasy while dancing and listening to the euphoria of the dance crowd on the ground floor. On top of being a great space with events and live music, the service workers there are also incredibly nice and go out of their way to make sure their patrons (especially women who are hassled by aggressive men) are protected. It’s why me and my girls will make a point to go to Speakeasy as often as we can, even if it’s just to pop in and get a few rounds and play games

Josh was our bar tender and spectacular, phenomenal, amazing. He made sure my sister's Cosmo was the best since New York, her Martini was dry and delicious! He made me a Peanut Butter and Jelly shot for my birthday that was the best I have ever had and since I don't drink shots that totally converted me! Definitely go there and for ask Josh!

This is a wonderful rooftop bar that also has a pool. The views of the city are terrific and the staff is excellent. Gabrielle, Alicya, Sabrina, Heather, Trevor, Brandon and Daniel were all outstanding. They were professional, knowledgeable, extremely friendly and helpful. They all played a role in making my vacation in Austin special.
