Man, I used to love this place. I must be bad luck because the last three times IN A ROW that I dined here - I had to spit something out. Even the bartender was like, you’re kidding again?! Quality of the fish seems to have gone down or I’m the anomaly.. I gave it three last chances but I won’t be back. Know where I’ve never once had to spit out sushi? Uchiba.

This place has always been one of my go-to spots for sushi, and last night our waitress, Kara, made the experience even better. She was amazing, attentive, and made the whole night a great experience. Definitely will be coming back more often after that service!

Overview: If you are a sushi enjoyer, Soto is worth your time even if it means a 90min drive from San Antonio. The focused service, clean restaurant, and quality ingredients were a memorable experience. Details: The vibe was upscale and modern. It feels much cozier and neat in person than the photos let on. My favorite two things were the nigiri flight and truffle foie gras tuna bite (part of the as of current 55$ Omakase). Sage was welcoming and gave explanations for any menu questions we had like what is popular vs recommended. It’s often difficult to navigate customer preference while giving reasonable suggestions. I didn’t feel pressured to try certain items but rather welcomed to add in appropriately. The entire team worked together monitoring the progress of each table to keep the experience streamlined. I was quite pleased to see the effort. Highly recommended going! I will be sure to return soon and try more of the menu.

Unexpectedly one of the best restaurants on our last trip. I wish I could remember our servers name as she really went out of her way to get us great pieces. The ocean trout nigiri was killer

The food was really good. Soto Restaurant looked fancy, and the employees were welcoming. I definitely would recommend Soto Restaurant to my family and friends.

Great quality food. There may be an opportunity to add an additional exhaust fan in the chef’s area that is open to the guests to reduced some of the cooking fumes.

Soto has an incredible omakase selection that is worth every penny. Katie has been our server each time we have been and she exudes top notice service. Still drooling over these delectable chef selected bites. Perfect for date night or any special occasion...heck...perfect for anytime.

My first time here and I was not disappointed. We had a lovely server who helped us through some sake sampling and to explore the unique aspects of the menu. The quality of the tuna and other first was top notch. I highly recommend Soto for a romantic evening, business dinner or just a fun night out with your foodie friends :)

Wow!! What an amazing experience at this restaurant. Our server (Brian) was so attentive and checked up on us multiple times to ensure we got what we needed. Any concerns we had, our server resolved immediately. We had reservations at 5pm so was able to catch happy hour as well as experience the standard dining menu if we wanted. The food was exquisite and everything was a delight. Service was quick, there was rarely a wait for our food. Portions are on the smaller side which was expected and we shared them all with our small group. For happy hour, we highly favored: Tuna Truffle & Chili Hamachi. For standard menu: Truffle Risotto & Uni Pasta (Uni was a bit on the saltier side but still enjoyable). Will definitely come again! Thanks for a great experience!
