I've lived in Austin for 15 years now and this is now my favorite coffee shop. It was so chill and relaxing. And even at noon in late August, sitting outside was pleasant from all of the shade. Parking is in a covered garage and is free for only two hours. I stayed 2 and a half hours and ended up paying $10.

Welp. This shop is all about max virtue signaling. But before I get to that, the coffee is good. A little higher price points than one would like, but being a bougie location that makes sense also. Gotta pay the bills. Now, about Simona’s being performative. They have a sticker by their register, that I’ve posted, and the barista told me they couldn’t take my personal travel tumbler to make my coffee in. It was empty and cleaned out and he said it was a “health code rule”. I own a coffee company and told him I wasn’t aware of any health department rule that prevents personal travel mugs from being used. In fact, the last time I came here the woman barista gladly made my drink in my mug. I told the barista about not having heard of this rule, and he brushed me off and told me that he could pour the coffee into my mug. I pointed out the sticker to him, and he said “Yeah. I know. But we are owned by a corporate [blah blah blah]…” and he then poured the coffee from a disposable cup into mine and threw away the disposable cup. So no, this location does NOT honor “reducing waste in the ATX.” Purely giving lip service. What’s a solution instead of blaming the purported health code? Have a reusable cup behind the counter y’all use.

The vibe and beverages were amazing! The chocolate croissant was heavenly. The staff in the morning and evening were friendly and efficient.

How is no one here?? This is the cutest coffee spot! WiFi is great, coffee is amazing. 4 hours of validated parking in the structure. I’ll definitely be coming back!
