What makes it fun

Seven Grand has a comprehensive whiskey program that includes a wide and increasing range of over 400 premium whiskeys, as well as creative cocktails and Texas beers. Though Seven Grand offers a variety of artisan cocktails, the bar's basis is built on five whiskey classics: the Old Fashioned, Sazerac, Rye Manhattan, Whiskey Sour, and Mint Julep. Seven Grand is home to the famed Whiskey Society program, where guests can regularly join in tastings with master distillers & blenders and brand ambassadors to further their understanding of the spirit. The selections at Seven Grand can be enjoyed in the main bar area, among the billiards tables, or on the vast outdoor patio, which has its own whiskey bar, community tables, and a live music section.

We bought three tacos and they charged us automatically 20% for gratuity. I questioned it and then they all of a sudden offered everything free a charge. I don't think they should have charged us 20% gratuity for just a few tacos for just myself and my wife. It should have been disclosed nothing shown. On top of that the tacos were super greasy. We've been here many times before they were all tasty. This time super greasy and I hate getting taken advantage of. 20% gratuity to stand in line and order tacos is ridiculous

This place has a sophisticated but relaxed feel -- dark wood, low lights, conversations at a normal volume. It was Sunday night, so I don't know if that's always the case. In fact, it was Sinatra Sunday and the music added to the ambiance. The nearly floor-to-ceiling shelves beautifully showcased more whiskeys than I would have guessed existed. The bartender was very knowledgeable about all types of whiskey and whiskey trivia. I was going to default to my usual whiskey and coke, but she recommended a Southpaw, a Seven Grand signature drink, and it was excellent.

Seven Grand is a must-visit bar in downtown Austin. This place has got a fantastic selection of whiskey that is sure to leave any whiskey lover satisfied. The atmosphere is perfect with an interior that gives you a feeling of being in a traditional whiskey bar. The dimly lit setting makes it the ideal spot for a romantic date or a night out with friends.I especially enjoyed the pool tables that were available, they were well-maintained and added a fun element to the place. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and they make excellent cocktails.Overall, Seven Grand is a great bar in downtown Austin. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day at work or to kick off a night out with friends. Whether you're a whiskey lover or not, you're sure to have a great time at this bar. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good time in Austin.

On the other side of Willie and Janis you’re going to find thee Best Whiskey Bar in Austin. Friendly, eccentric and chill. Rows upon rows of whiskey or just ask for a recommendation- which GM Stephanie *loves* to give. And honestly? Just do what she says, you won’t regret it. Afterwards, walk out back and grab some carnitas tacos and then setup a pool table to enjoy your evening. This is an experience that Will Not Disappoint.
