Great location near many restaurants and shopping. However, this hotel did not have any drawers just open areas where drawers should be. A multiple day stay can be challenging with no where to place your worn item discreetly. Interesting decision. Also the electricity went out on my floor one evening.

My husband, dog, and I recently moved to Austin and stayed at the Renaissance for a full week while we waited for our moving truck to arrive. The staff was so friendly and helpful when we had to continuous keep updating/changing our plans and several people consistently said hi to our dog, Stella. We ate at both the coffee shop and restaurant/bar and had wonderful service and food at both.
The location is great as you are in walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and even a little duck pond walking trail. We strongly recommend staying in your next visit to Austin.

There is a stark difference between the customer service during the day and customer service during the evening. Professionalism and decorum is completely lost in the evening hours. As a Marriott rewards member I am accustomed to a very guest friendly atmosphere at Marriott. My experience the evening of Dec 29th was anything but. My room was paid for by my employer. This determined the level of professionalism and service during the evening. I must say the day staff, from the driver of the shuttle to the front desk, engineer and restaurant staff, exhibited the utmost professionalism decorum and hospitality! Although 3 of the rooms assigned to me had issues, the day staff did their best to resolve. Once the shift change occurred the level of professionalism and service also changed. From the engineer to the manager, the fact that my employer paid for the room was the driving factor in how I was treated and the low level of service provided. Instead of ensuring the heating elements worked in the rooms during the winter, the management has an approach of wait and see who needs heat or air. I had to change rooms four times to get a room with continuous working heat. It shouldn't matter who pays for the room . Every guest should receive the same level of service with a basic standard that every room amenity works properly. My needing to move to three different rooms after my initial assigned room is outrageous and the poorest level of customer service I have ever experienced. Because my employer has a contract with this hotel is all the more reason to ensure the pre assigned rooms and all the components within the rooms are in proper working order BEFORE WE ARRIVE. Instead, the management thinks it is okay to place us in the least appropriate rooms, even after a problem is known. It is too bad all the hard work and effort made by the day staff is so very tainted by the evening staff This is an establishment I will never again visit.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you need to go somewhere within 5 miles, they have a vehicle that will shuttle you to where you're needing to go.

Andre was a very efficient and safe driver. He got us to our destination quickly and it was pleasant to ride with him.

We will definitely book another ride with him this weekend! I highly recommend him!

I stayed here for a week while I was in the area for work. I booked a Signature suite. Looks like the rooms were renovated within the last year. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfy. The R Lounge was really nice and the staff working there were too notch in terms of customer service and keep the lounge clean. Lots of parking but space size-wise can be a bit tight. Walkable to a few restaurants close by.

Darius the bell guy was so nice and considerate. He helped us unload the car and the cart once we got to the room. We got put on a high floor witch was amazing. The hotel itself was so beautiful. Wonderful music playing as you walk in. Cute and comfy areas to sit and relax in the lobby. I definitely want to come back. It's pet friendly too. I just saw a little dog walk in with it's owner. I love it here!

I love this hotel!! I usually stay here whenever i come to town. Its not the new kid on the block, nor is it the fanciest. However, it is still classy and elegant. Not to mention it has several old oak trees. The staff has always been kind, courteous and helpful.
As a bonus, Cheesecake Factory is a short stroll away. So are some beautiful nature trails and nice stores for shopping. Suchi bar is good.

Great location with plenty of options in the surrounding area. The rooms are good size and produce a cool experience with such an open concept. Two locations to eat inside. With friendly employees. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and other needs not expected. Beds are comfortable and the hotel in general are nice. Great place to visit and stay or spend some quality time with someone you tend or want to impress. Outside seating area is also nice after dark with a full service bar that closes at 11p. Wait staff are all about service so tip them well. Banquet area is great with huge rooms and a delicious breakfast options.
