We had a wonderful stay at The Otis! The staff were all welcoming and accommodating upon arrival and throughout our stay. The room was beautiful and quiet. We had a lovely dinner at Acre 41 to celebrate our anniversary. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. We had a great experience and would highly recommend to someone visiting Austin.

The Otis is very well located for those who are visiting the UT Campus but the rooms are tiny. We first got room 1024 (small room but they said it was an upgrade due to our Amex platinum). The toilet door didn’t close fully. It was especially poorly designed since the bathroom itself is not a separate enclosed space. We asked to be moved and got a different room; similar type room but a little more space than the first. The toilet door closed in this one. The first room’s toilet door was just a bad design that no one has ever fixed it seems. Our final bill had an error and they charged us $100 extra. they tried to send us without correcting. The front desk said they will fix it later. I had to request they fixed it right there. Anyway, you can’t beat the location for sure and their restaurant is super nice. But the hotel, I am not sure! Just don’t take room 1024, I guess. And review your bill carefully at check out

Beautiful hotel! The rooftop bar and pool are 5 star amazing! I enjoyed playing records and Bluetooth audio in our room. Pro tip -use scooters to get around town! Don’t be shy. Just do it!

Such a spunky hotel!!! Love the decorations here. I feel like I’m spending the night at an art museum. 🤎 Austin is definitely a different world. Room is absolutely beautiful (corner king suite w skyline view). ALL Staff are amazing! Restaurant & front desk associates are so friendly + polite. I had a great time here!

Parking is a bit expensive but that’s expected with these fancy downtown hotels. Self park: $39 Valet: $49 (April 2023)

While we didn’t stay at the hotel, we did pop in for a girls-night dinner. The food, the drinks, ambiance, everything was great. But the service was amazing. Tyler was the best, had great recommendations and when I dropped my shrimp cocktail on the floor, he made sure I got a new one! Also, the espresso martinis are so good!

Kelly and Hunter (mostly Kelly) Also Eli at check-in were the best part of our experience at this hotel. They were the only friendly accommodating we interacted with. Which is surprising because it’s a brand of Marriott. We stayed here for three nights and the turn down is horrible. Marriott should be embarrassed. We called down to say that there was still a lot of trash. They said “well they will pick it up if it’s left outside the room”. I personally would hate seeing trash lining the hallways of where I’m staying. Apparently here if you pay for a room you need to put all trash outside. Keep that in mind beforehand.

The Otis is fantastic. The lobby is new and swanky feeling, and the location right by UT but a short walk to downtown is great, especially when you’re visiting Austin for fun. Front desk staff was amazing and constantly checked in with us when we walked by. The vinyl library is a fun touch for music nerds - you can submit your favorite artists and they’ll bring albums to your room for you based off what you like. The rooms were very nice too. My only complaint is that you walk into the bathroom first in the rooms before entering the bedspace. When you’re traveling with three other friends on a road trip, you have to strategize showers because no one can enter/leave the front door without seeing someone in the shower. Room was immaculate otherwise, and the overall experience is enough to overlook it. Highly recommend!

This was my first time staying at this hotel and everything was exceptional. My initial arrival was met by a warm and welcoming smile from Favour. She was extremely professional and friendly. She went an extra mile by walking me to the elevator and pressing the button for me. To top it all off the food was excellent. I loved that the fish was WILD caught and the staff was well trained and informed about the food served and my gluten allergy. This is certainly my hotel of choice as it's less than 10 minutes from my event, clean and great fragrance throughout the entire hotel. Finally, the valet service was amazing. I had frequent arrival and departure for my event. My car was out waiting for me with precision by the time I got from my room to their station from a single text. To close, I'd like to thank Favour for being the catalyst for making my experience great.

The Otis was a magnificent stay. I have absolutely no complaints. It was my significant other's birthday and they ensured he felt special from beginning to end. The front desk staff is attentive and very friendly. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The beds and linens are top notch and you won't want to leave. The records were a nice touch and we made great use of the extensive collection. The gym was more than functional and had everything you need for a good workout. Pool and rooftop were absolutely gorgeous morning and night. The lobby was exquisite. The food at the restaurant and burger spot outside for Acres 41 was delicious and a must try. I stay at hotels frequently and the Otis is now definitely a top pick of mine. They also have a signature scent that just relaxes you. This hotel is an entire vibe. They are worth every penny.
