We have loved this place for years and quickly grabbed a reservation when they announced their closure- It was underwhelming compared to years past. Service was honestly pretty terrible and thats why im writing this today-- It wasnt buzzy and fun per usual- we were neglected pretty frequently- with empty drinks and food dishes just waiting for the next course. I almost felt bad being the last ones there until I remembered we hadnt even been asked what we picked for dessert yet. Olamaie- pretty please make these last 6 days better for your guests! A very expensive evening to leave on such a blah note.

Our reservation was exactly in 2 hours from the time they announced closure in media. We are glad that we could experience this restaurant. For us, the food was really good and the staff were the best. Sad to see this spot closing.

The best restaurant in Austin by far!!! Definitely very very pricy, but still amazing! Food, drinks, everything were incredible. The pork chop has an extra charge of 65 USD, but it was fantastic (very hot, so skip that if you are sensitive to pepper).

Fabulous. Truly passionate culinary artists. Sat at the bar which was fun to watch them create and craft beverages. Added on the wine pairing to our Prix Fixe which was nice- took the guess work out of what to pick for each course. Favorites were the deviled eggs, cottage cheese with peaches, Wagyu ribeye, and butterscotch puddin’. The ribeye was truly incredible. Highly recommend Olamaie! Reservations are a must.

I've been here several times and was never disappointed. Fantastic waitstaff with a great menu that's regularly updated. Wonderful location blocks from UT campus, as well.

Wow, as a Top Chef Fan, I was excited about visiting because Chef Amanda is the chef de cuisine. What an amazing experience we had; Helen “narrated” the menu and guided us to amazing dishes - oysters Rockefeller, butter beans, hush puppies with onion dip and trout roe, and the most magical cabbage ever!!! The drinks , entrees and desserts were amazing . Chef Amanda took a photo with us and the restaurant manager, Jesse, was so awesome. Amazing food, service and ambiance. When I visit again , I will be back!

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this place sooner. Once I had mentioned I was going here to a few friends I had a lot of people say it was their go to and it was absolutely fantastic. They were exactly right. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the food was to die for. The manager on site, Jessie, was such a great manager and very kind. Our server Kyle was a 10 out of 10 and had a great recommendations. HIGHLY recommend this spot. From start to finish it was a perfect evening

Came here for a friends birthday. Fantastic, refreshing drinks. Appetizers and chicken sandwich were quite solid and my wife’s pasta dish had a great flavor. Very romantic/airy decor/setting. Felt like I was back in Soho or Chelsea in Manhattan.
