    What makes it fun

In 2009, brothers Bryce and Dylan Gilmore wanted to open an eatery that used only ingredients from local Austin farms. They purchased a trailer and set to work rehabbing it and outfitting it with a wood-burning grill. A hundred or so man-hours later, they named the trailer “Odd Duck”. The trailer was an instant hit with the city and helped put Austin’s local food scene on the map.

Great FRESH food and outstanding service! We'll be back. The cornbread is the best we've had. An uncommon dining experience.

We stopped in on a night when they looked to be very busy. The hosts somehow managed to squeeze us in under the quoted 45 min + wait.
The food was excellent (as always). What really stood out was the hospitality. I brought my 17-year-old niece for her first experience with this style of dining, and every single person
—from the hosts to the bartenders to the kitchen—made her feel welcome and comfortable asking questions.
She spent the entire meal completely absorbed in the food and conversation. No phone. That's about the highest compliment I can give. We will be back, and she will be telling this story for years.

First time trying Odd Duck and won’t be the last! This spot is perfect for a date night. The vibe was so laid back, friendly, and professional from the moment we walked in. Thomas was the best server and gave us the best recommendations. The cornbread was to die for I forgot to get a pic before it was all gone! The ceviche was refreshing and lastly the blackened fish was my favorite. 10/10 on hospitality and cuisine! If you think you’re stuffed I recommend getting dessert regardless. It was portioned out so well and easy to share I loved the icebox cake! Can’t wait to come back again.

Maybe it’s just me, but I never like cornbread anywhere I go. The redfish, on the other hand, was excellent — the seasoning in the sauce, the crunch from the nuts, and the okra’s slight slime worked together beautifully.

The couple next to us was cleaning every plate!!! That’s when we knew we were about to be wowed! We ordered the cheddar cornbread and the onion butter had us wanting to eat every crumb. Next we had the summer salad and the antelope tataki. Both were equally unique and mouthwatering! We finished with the braised goat pizza and this is cooked in a wood fire oven and is absolutely amazing! My advice order everything!

Odd Duck in Austin absolutely lives up to the hype.

From the second you walk in, the place has that perfect Austin energy. It feels upscale without being stiff, creative without trying too hard, and lively without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is warm, fun, and just cool enough to make you feel like you picked the right spot before the food even hits the table.

The staff was amazing from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Not the fake polite kind of service either. The real kind. The kind where people seem like they actually enjoy being there and want you to enjoy being there too. That makes a huge difference, especially at a restaurant with food this good. Now the food. Top tier is the only way to put it.

I had the wagyu burger, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was life changing. Perfectly cooked, rich, juicy, layered with flavor, and somehow both elevated and comforting at the same time. Every bite tasted intentional. The bun, the patty, the crunch, the greens, the sauce, everything worked together like it had been engineered by someone who takes burgers way more seriously than most people take their careers. It was one of those meals where you take the first bite and immediately stop talking for a second because your brain needs to catch up.

Odd Duck is the kind of restaurant that makes dinner feel like an experience instead of just a meal. Great atmosphere, incredible service, and food that absolutely earns the reputation. Whether you’re visiting Austin or you live here and somehow haven’t gone yet, Odd Duck needs to be on your list.

I’ll definitely be back. And yes, I’ll probably be thinking about that wagyu burger until then. As well as how awesome Jason was and singing Little Mermaid at the bar with him!

I loved this place! We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday with the tasting menu, and it was such a great experience.

The service was amazing, the food was superb, and we genuinely had a wonderful time.

The patio was beautiful and had such a relaxed atmosphere—it was easy to have conversations and really enjoy the evening.

Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell they truly care about the quality of their ingredients and the intention behind each dish.

One of my fav Austin restaurants so far.

Food is really good. Main portions are a little small, but the food is meant to share so 4-6 dishes for two people is optimal.
We loved the dishes we ordered. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable and attentive. He checked in on us often and gave very good food recommendations.
The whole experience was pretty great and we can’t wait to go back!

Odd Duck had been on my list for a while since I’d gotten great feedback from friends that it was one of the best restaurants in Austin. Finally got to try it this weekend and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious. Love that the menu changes every month based on what’s available locally. Portion size and prices were very fair and the service was great! Reservations are required. I will definitely be back!

Willem was great, noticed there was a mess up with our ordered and comped our desert. We didn't even notice, atmosphere is great, it was a bit warm though which probably had the staff feeling it too.

I've been to odd duck plenty of times and the food is always great and service is impeccable. It's a bit pricey but we usually go once a year and so worth it everytime!

A must try experience! Some of the best culinary food experiences I've had. Incredible staff with great local austin-y vibes. Accommodating for gluten free options as well.

My first time at Love Supreme was really great. Made a reservation and was seated right away. The restaurant is spacious with covered outdoor seating. It took a little while to get our food but it was really good. I ordered veggie supreme and white mushroom pizza with some drinks. the veggie didn’t feel too heavy. Most of the menu options are vegetarian. Overall I would come back!

First and foremost, if you go, make a reservation. Also, they have valet.

I have been here several times and it never disappoints! The food is locally sourced and the menu is determined by what items they receive. I also love that the menu is seasonal and never boring. If you're gluten-free, they have a menu to accommodate most of their items on the main menu.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. If you're not sure what to order, ask them; they have great recommendations and many are excited about what they serve. Everything is served on its own plate and can be shared or individual. Portions are a good size and it's safe to say that 2 plates per person is an accurate portion for a meal; 3 if one of them is a lighter dish or dessert.

They also have a variety of unique drinks/cocktails and a decent selection of wines, beer, and even cider.

This place has been around for years and they are truly worth the visit.

Four of us came for dinner and this place lives up to the reputation. We had a smorgasbord of delectable farm to table items that were executed flawlessly. The Wagyu sirloin entree was insanely good.
I also appreciate the establishments ability to modify menu items to accommodate the vegan in our group. Add the spot on service and you've got an absolute smash of a place. Reservation's recommended

    This place was amazing!

The atmosphere was great, open kitchen, and outdoor seating with heaters. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable on every dish.

After ordering, the pacing of the dishes coming out of the kitchen was perfect. I also assume they have a certain ordering of what dishes should come out first. Everything tasted superb. There wasn't a single dish that felt off in anyway.

Odd Duck absolutely knows what they're doing
