    What makes it fun

Nomade was established by wanderers. During our travels to the beaches of the Yucatan, we stumbled upon a cuisine that highlights seafood from the Mexican Gulf Coast, farms of Quintana Roo, and unique spices from Lebanese, Portuguese, and African flavors of the region. Excited to bring a beach vibe to South Austin, Nomade offers a cozy casita and multiple outdoor patios for post-work relaxation. Indulge in a wide selection of over 150 agaves, sustainable Yucatan oak-grilled octopus, fresh oysters with a charred habanero mignette, crudos, ceviches, 24-hour short rib with tamarind pasilla and mango habanero, traditional Mayan sikil pak, all served in our bright, airy indoor casita or outdoor areas for you to enjoy every day of the week. We prioritize inclusivity in everything we do. We created gluten-free, celiac-friendly, plant-based menus so that everyone could enjoy Nomade.

When is the last time you had a "Wow" dining experience? This place blew away everyone at the table. All four of us were thrilled with the food! We got several small dishes and shared. You need to do this because there are so many great things on the menu. Including the great cocktails ‼️
Our highlights were the grilled octopus, the fish tacos are not your everyday fish tacos, they are coated with tempura and then scorched black! Fabulous!!! We started with their sauce sampler and that was a good move because we kept dipping other food into it.
We finished with the churros! Ok, I haven't purchased a churro in years! These came out Hot and fresh, delicious! But wait....we ordered their in house made ice cream to go with it! Show stopper😂

I had a really disappointing experience during happy hour. Our server—a tall blonde woman with a ponytail wearing white jeans and a gray crewneck—barely checked on our table, while she regularly attended to others around us. It felt like we were being overlooked, and the level of service didn’t match what we saw given to other guests.

We came in for happy hour, and while that may mean lower-priced items, it shouldn’t mean lower-quality service. In fact, attentive service often leads to better tips, regardless of the bill size. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

On a positive note, the trainee assisting her—a woman with a pixie cut wearing a black sleeveless polka-dot turtleneck—was polite and much more attentive. She made a better impression and seemed to care about the guests.

Overall, the experience felt dismissive and frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for happy hour if you expect consistent and respectful service.

100% Gluten Free. Everything. This a huge selling point. The atmosphere was relaxed and the vibes and decor were modern and inviting. Lots of greenery and plants to enhance the vibe. We sat outside and even with high temps they kept it well-cooled. Very comfortable dining experience. The food was great. The 3 dips and chips to start was the right choice. These dips were amazing, each offering more spice than the other. The waygu tacos were so flavorful. The server was extremely helpful in making recommendations but also explaining the menu and the various options available to us.

I guess I have a new favorite spot. We came here to check a new restaurant on inKind app and were blown away by how beautiful the place is, food, and service. My new favorite spot and definitely coming back for drinks and tapas.

Nomade is an absolute standout! It's got this vibrant, welcoming vibe that just draws you in. And the staff? Incredible! Ella especially has this knack for knowing exactly what you'll love. The best part? Everything's gluten-free, but it's so delicious you'd never guess. Plus, their happy hour is the perfect cherry on top. Honestly, Nomade is proof that eating gluten-free doesn't mean sacrificing flavor or fun. Definitely a five-star spot in my book!

Nomade is a gem in the heart of Austin, offering a beautifully aesthetic dining experience inspired by tulips. The comfortable seating, warm decor, and entirely gluten-free menu create a welcoming atmosphere. Their flatbread is an absolute must-try, and once you’ve tasted it, you won’t want to share. Nomade has quickly become my favorite spot to relax and indulge in some of the best gluten-free food in Austin.

The food was delicious and unique. Our server Josh was super helpful and attentive. The owner Adam was attentive and friendly as well. Chef Jay also introduced himself. The ambiance was lovely. It’s a neighborhood spot for us and excited for new happy hour patio to enjoy.
