    What makes it fun

Established in 1993, Mozart's Coffee Roasters not only have exceptional coffee, but their patio decks overlooking Lake Austin offer phenomenal views and the perfect place to enjoy the scenery and sinfully good coffee. They also offer a full case of dessert options. With occasional live music, lakeside sunsets have never been better. Mozart's is a wonderful place for couples to enjoy together.

My first trip to Mozart's was pretty lackluster. I ordered the Mozart's Mocha Special (I'm not sure what was special about it; I should've asked) and a Caprese sandwich. The coffee was alright, but the sandwich was not. An employee told me she would heat up my sandwich, but when we sat down, it was definitely still cold. It was also bland. However, I didn't order any pastries, so I can't speak on that. They did look good, though.

The standout is definitely the atmosphere. Unfortunately, when we sat outside, it was humid and there were lots of flies. I'm not counting this against them, I just think patrons should be aware. And if you were just coming for the view, you don't have to eat here to see it.

My favorite coffee spot in Austin, and I’m sure it’s a favorite for many others too. This place serves amazing coffee along with delicious desserts. They’ve even started serving Indian samosas now, which was such a nice surprise.

The views here are beautiful, and the overall vibe is so relaxing. They also host some really fun events, so definitely check out their events calendar before visiting. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Austin.

The views and atmosphere was 5/5 star experience. The food was pretty good. The prices were reasonable. The drinks were okay. It seemed like they forgot to make the Matcha Moon drink. It did not taste like banana was in it. Would be better if there was a system to call the customers over to get their order. There wasn't much room to wait for my order inside.

Today evening we visited this lovely place. We had coffee and snacks. The coffee flavour is very good. The atmosphere is lovely and we spent more than an hour enjoying the live band. The air is filled with the chirping sound of the birds and live band. A must visit place for romantic people.

Mozart’s Cafe was such a pleasant surprise. I stopped by on a Tuesday night because I wanted a hot cup of coffee after dinner, and I was so happy to find a place open until midnight when most other coffee shops were already closed. That alone made it a great find, but what made the experience even better was discovering that they also had live entertainment on Tuesday night until 11. It turned a simple coffee stop into a really enjoyable evening.

I ordered a coffee and a brownie, and while the total was a little on the expensive side, around $15 or $16, it felt completely worth it to me. The quality was there, and everything felt a bit more gourmet than your average coffee shop stop. The brownie was delicious, the coffee was exactly what I wanted, and the overall atmosphere made the price feel justified. Between the free entertainment, the beautiful decor, and the location, it felt like much more than just paying for coffee and dessert.

One of the best parts of the experience was the setting. Being right on the water made it especially beautiful at night. You can enjoy your drink, take a walk, look at the lights, and just soak in the scenery. It was the perfect place to unwind after a heavy meal and a long workday. Since I was only in Austin for work and do not live in the area, I was really glad I found somewhere that felt special and relaxing instead of just functional.

The staff was also very friendly, which added a lot to the experience. Good service always makes a difference, and here it made the place feel even more welcoming. Overall, I definitely recommend Mozart’s Cafe if you are looking for a late-night coffee spot with charm, scenery, and a unique atmosphere. I would absolutely go back again.

Coffee was a 3/10, desserts and pastries a 2/10, but the vibe gets a 7/10. Everyone in our group ended up with drinks that were way too sweet, lattes, matcha, everything. The coffee itself was just… fine. We all walked out with headaches and had to grab ibuprofen afterward because of the sugar overload.

The shop was extremely crowded, very much an in and out situation. Hospitality was minimal, like at the cashier, which isn’t much of an issue, but if you need anything, like asking for ice or getting a drink remade, there’s basically no staff around. Our drinks were too sweet to even finish, and there was no one to help.

The view is decent if you snag a table on the upper deck. On the lower deck, you’re staring at mold and mud along the shore, which kills the charm a bit.

We tried the bread and pastries too. They were just okay. Honestly, most buffets serve better desserts.

This was our first and last visit to Mozart’s. I know a lot of people swear by this place, and the lake view is definitely a novelty for Austin, but is it really that impressive?

Overall, it’s not a weekend worthy spot. Maybe it works if there’s a big event happening, but otherwise it’s just not enough. As someone who lives here, I don’t regret trying it once, but once was plenty.

They have a lovely view, the drinks were okay. I think because the view is nice and there's live music, it has attracted many visitors. unfortunately it has become very crowded because of it.

I worked at this place last Christmas and November the staff is fine it’s the management don’t know how to treat their workers and pay I would work 4-5 days a week putting 5-6 hours a day to only get paid 20 dollars in the weekly checks and I would speak to them about it and they would ignore me and try and change the subject and they had me as a runner serving hot chocolate myself the entire shift and they are like 20-30 pound I had to run around carrying them by self up and down and help didn’t arrive till 11 when a hour left for closing and I spoke my concerns about it and Cameron the manager had told me he’ll pay me extra for working alone and I never gotten paid I worked there for 4 weeks only being paid max 140 dollars and G would treat his staff horrible as well if they weren’t females he would judge the dudes and talk bad about them. Always rushing is even when we were short staffed trying our best working like dogs with no pay.

One of our favorite spots during our Austin trip. The entire experience was wonderful. We visited in December and it was during their light show. We didn't actually attend the light show but came earlier to enjoy our time at Mozart's.

The space is beautiful. I didn't expect much from a coffee shop but this is a wonderful place. We waited in line to order our coffee. The line moves pretty fast. I ordered the draft latte and m husband got the cold brew. Both were excellent. We were actually going to order another but the line was very long at this point. We opted to listen to the live music a little longer before leaving.

There are so many places to sit outside and they also have seating inside. It is decorated nicely and right on the water. I would go to this place every day if we lived in Austin!!

Beautiful location with a large outdoor patio overlooking Lake Austin and large live oak trees for shade. The coffee and baked goods are excellent. The food options for vegans could be better but they have a couple of items for us. Check out their live music and definitely catch the holiday light shows!

The only complaint I have is that I can't get a dairy free shake which would have been nice on a such a hot day.
The entertainment was great. Nick Austin is extremely talented. The staff was quick, efficient and pleasant. The vegan cookie was the best I have ever had. I loved that two guys were actually painting on the patio. I got to visit with an adorable baby and pet the cutest puppies. So glad I ventured out today! Will definitely go back.

Great coffee and dessert/savory pastries with incredible seating options with an expansive view of the river. There's often good live music and a chill vibe where you can easily lose track of time and end up spending several hours just lounging about.

The cold brew latte is stunning!
