Miraval really has it all - the location, the best service providers, the luxury and ambience, but man oh man do their customer service staff need some retraining. We came in for the day on 12/31, and stayed from about 9am-6pm.Miraval is located in beautiful West Austin, and once you enter the front gates, you're immediately transported into the best that Hill Country has to offer. The scenery is exquisite and all of their built spaces are pristine and lovely. We participated in several of the fitness and wellness classes, and all of the instructors were wonderful. Furthermore, I had a massage with a friendly and competent therapist. Truly top-notch.The customer service staff was definitely more mixed. The dining wait staff, spa front desk, and experience concierges were helpful and solicitous, and I was consistently impressed. However, the main lobby front desk and barista staff were lacking. When we first checked in, the only instructions we got were to put our phones away and make sure we weren't late to anything. There was nothing about orienting us to the space or our schedules, welcoming us to the day, or what we could expect during our stay. We were the only guests in the lobby when we checked in, so it's not like taking the extra time would have been at the expense of other customers. Also, when I came back to ask a question about changing a reservation, a different staff member brushed me off and told me that someone else needed to help me. I eventually got what I needed from a different staff member, but it was a bit off-putting.Finally, we experienced active rudeness from the baristas (when they were actually at the counter). Another customer asked for a smoothie, and the woman behind the counter actually said "yeah, I guess I could make one for you." I came back later, and it was a different guy. When I asked for my drink, he let out a big frustrated sigh. It was toward the end of the day, and it wasn't busy either time. All in all, I really enjoyed Miraval, but the staff honestly left a bad taste in my mouth for what we were paying.

Feel bad just started to leave a review right now. Perfect, wonderful experience. All good words come out from my mind when thinking about Miraval Austin. One of the best Hyatt Property I have been visited except Park Hyatt SanYa.Long story short: just come here, foods are good, people are amiable. I wanted my parents fly from China to USA again just for Miraval Austin.Good good good. By the way, waitresses at the restaurants are very pretty especially the lady at the reception. She is very beautiful; simply admire her beauty. A gift from God.

It pains me to write this review because I loved this property. I had a such a fantastic weekend there in July of 2024 for my husbands birthday, I invited a friend to go back with me on a day pass January 5th. We had a decent day pass experience and left the resort thinking all was well. Until a few days later and charges started showing up on my credit card bill. No big deal, just call and get it squared away right? Wrong! I have NEVER experienced customer service so condescending and rude. The girl on the phone repeatedly yelled at me and then accused me of yelling. I asked to speak with someone else and she responded “fine” and hung up the phone! I was floored! Her behavior was completely opposite of the “intention” Miraval sets. Especially since I’m the one being charged almost $1300 for a day pass. I called back and was able to talk to the manager. I asked him the name of his employee and his response was, “I have several females that work here and I don’t know who it was.” This was his response because I said I would write this review. I informed him I lived close by and was getting in my car to come to the property and rectify this situation. Miraculously his tone changed. The interaction I received for questioning the charges was absurd. I was calling because the friend that attended with me was over charged too. Were we or I not supposed to call and ask why? My family are Hyatt loyalist for many reasons. I know our little cents are but a drop in the bucket for a place like this. The attitude of the female employee and Daniel surely made me feel this way. This whole situation is unnecessarily sad and I’m still waiting for charges to come off my account.

I was assured 3 times that a charge would be taken off my bill that wasn't. The horse programs were remarkable, and the fitness classes were fun, but after all was said and done, I left Miraval feeling like a life support system for a wallet. The nice words of concern didn't translate into refunding a change as they promised. The tacked 25% per night "resort fee" is exorbitant, and so many activities had extra charges. They lost me as future guest.

Miraval is the best place to reconnect, relax and have inner growth. The workshops, spa, and staff help you connect on a deeper level with yourself which is life-changing. I highly recommend taking one of Steven Ross’s workshops, and the horse and bee experiences are unforgettable. You come with an intention when you arrive at Miraval and leave feeling like a new, refreshed person. My three days are Miraval were some of the best days of my entire life, and I can’t wait to go back.

This is one of those places you pay good money to be ignored. They are understaffed and the granola workers there got on staff only work when it aligns with their feelings and gender of the day.If you want to be ignored, professionally misinformed and starve to death, this place is it.The level of dedication to ignoring people the staff has here, is admirable.10 people standing around talking, no one working.A patio of patrons, not a waiter in sight.A line at the hostess stand, and the hostesss is just talking to other staff about some vegan yoga class they attended. If you’re a biz owner who loves service, this place is an example of what not to do.I stayed here 3 days. Same experience all three days.I never leave reviews. This place sucked that much lol.

I went on a weekend retreat with my 21 year old daughter. We had a fantastic time. The exercises classes were challenging for all levels with tons of variety. The instructors were full of energy, charm, and enthusiasm. Our spa treatments were incredible and luxurious. The food was delicious with lots of variety and options. I was excited to see several non alcoholic cocktails - we tried them all. I would love to see Kombucha on the menu at the various meals. Our beds were fluffy and incredibly comfortable. We found several trails through the woods that were very enjoyable. The classes on topics such as astrology and tarrot reading were informative and engaging. I do wish that there were non alcoholic option pairings for the private classes that offer wine pairings. This was my 4th visit to Miraval properties and my first visit to the Austin location.

This is the first review I’ve ever written on any platform. I was blown away by how far out of their way the employees went above and beyond to provide my mother first class service. My father passed away a few months ago and, with the smallest request from my family to provide my Mom an extra special gift, the Miraval staff went far beyond any reasonable expectation to help make my mom’s life just a little bit brighter for one luxurious, comprehensive, wellness-restoring weekend. Thank you!

Visited the spa with a day pass. Had a great massage and an over the top equine experience. The food was delicious. Lunch was chicken with pesto, quinoa with butternut squash and pomegranate perils, and fresh salad. The snacks were delicious: protein balls, avocado cookies, smoothies and sandwich’s. I will be back for sure. Next time I’m going to stay longer.

I want to start this review by saying that your mileage may vary because Miraval offers so many different experiences and the classes and experiences offered will depend on your length of stay, what you want to do, etc.I booked this three-day trip because I am going through a period of enormous transition. I was looking to take a break, explore new ideas, relax, and do something not too far from where I live. My stay at Miraval was the most unexpectedly and profoundly spiritual experience of my life (note: prior to this, I had had basically no spiritual experiences, so this statement is a bit hyperbolic).Firstly, on the resort itself - the spa is beautiful and has tons of great offerings, the restaurant and food options were good (though for longer stays you may tire of the one restaurant and decide to go off-site or order in, worth noting though that the menu rotates every day with lots of fun options). My room was very comfortable and well-maintained (I loved the outdoor shower, which not all rooms have. I was a little skeptical but decided to go for it, and I loved it! In September, taking a shower with a cool morning breeze contrasting against the hot water is very refreshing.Secondly and finally, I set intentions for my trip and my intentions changed after my session with Priscilla. My trip very rapidly became a much more spiritual exploration of myself and the universe after my interactions with her. I have positive things to say about the whole staff, who were attentive to the point of learning my name and who seemed to have thought of everything. I was indeed able to relax, unwind, and get away from the pressures of daily life while here. I left with tons of questions about life, the universe, everything, and I think I will take that with me my whole life. So, if nothing else, I am grateful for that, but I am also grateful for the kindness and service of every single Miraval staff member, even the ones with whom I did not interact directly. They, along with the warm and compassionate guests, who were in many cases going through transitions and tragedies themselves, made my stay memorable in every sense of the word.I had literally never done yoga or meditation before this trip and I still managed to find tons of things to do and the staff were very accommodative of the fact that I was a beginner at many of these things. I got to experience nature and new things without feeling like the "odd man out," which was a concern I had had.Thank you to the whole team for a great trip and so many great memories.
