Incredible Spanish spot in Austin with a great happy hour every day from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. A few items you have to try: • Kali Burger • Heirloom Tomato Salad • Bayonne Ham and Anchovy • Do Ferreiro White Wine (half off the bottle during happy hour!) There are so many other items on the menu that look amazing. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Absolutely incredible. Everything was delicious. The staff was amazing! We had someone in our group with celiac and they were super accomodating- our waitress Alex marked up a menu item by item of what was gluten free and what could have easy modifications to make gluten free. The majority of the dishes came out super quick (everything but the large plates, which they prefaced would take a little longer and therefore suggested to order at the same time as the small plates). Another staff member (a manger perhaps?) checked on us in addition to our server. When a guest wasn’t sure what drink to order, he quickly asked about her preferences and offered guidance. He ultimately offered to pick something for her, assuring her he’d bring her something else if she didn’t like it. Overall, the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. And not a single dish we didn't like.

It feels like being in northern Spain. You can even get your wine or cider in a porrón (don't know what I mean? Try it; it's fun!) I particularly recommend Kalimotxo for people who love trying new flavors -- the menu may have a lot of Spanish, but Basque food is nothing like Tex Mex. Try a Gilda and the croquetas de jamon, possibly my favorites (though there are so many other things to love). They do offer a very good burger for those in your party who want something more familiar.

Kalimotxo has moved to east 6th & Chicon to a lovely modern building. And they have upped their food and drink game as well. I had the best espresso cocktail ( El Aranzo, I believe). I would go back just for that. The Spanish gin and tonic with rosemary and lemon is also superb. Their cocktails are fabulous with some very unique options, such as their namesake Kalimotxo. Fabulous happy hour menu with $8-10 cocktails! $12 burger that is truly exceptional. We also loved the calamari and the Basque Cheesecake. Amazing staff, amazing ambiance and amazing food and drinks. They have valet parking for $7.

Where do I start? This place is such hidden gem! Service is fast, and food is delicious. The bartender with long and dark hair worked on Tuesday night probably makes one of the best drinks in Austin! I will definitely come back with more friends. Highly recommend their pepper goat cheese pintxos, and croquetas!

Menu was at only about half of what is shown online, so that was disappointing. We ordered cocktails not on the menu and unbeknownst to us, they were each $21, for not even a top shelf liquor - the 6 cocktail choices on the menu were $16. We tried 3 tapas, and none of them were worth writing home about. The tortilla espanola was undercooked and cold.

Kat sat us quickly and offered us blankets plus a fire pit & comfy chair! Music was oonnn point 🙂(funky and chill). Service with Cullen was effortless too! And all of the food (papas bravado, octopus, crudo, sandwich) and cocktails (Marbella gin and tonic and Pamplona) were DELICIOUS! 😋 Rock solid Spanish food and vibe.

My mother, sister, and I came to kalimotxo last Friday night and it was such a great experience. We sat outside and the atmosphere was really cool. Great drink and food recommendations from our server. It was a bit chilly outside and the manager noticed I was a little cold and he brought a blanket over. The staff was very thoughtful and attentive. Overall a really fun experience! Thanks again!

Some of the best food and cocktails in Ausin. Great service and awesome atmosphere. The food was top notch. Small plates that you share with your family or friends. Ill be back!

Such a great experience! Beautiful atmosphere, we sat on the patio overlooking Shoal Creek at sunset. Drinks and food were great, one of my faves was the patatas bravas (pictured). Service was also amazing, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back!
