What makes it fun
ICOSA is a non-profit artist-run facility that exhibits a wide spectrum of contemporary art and programming. ICOSA was founded in 2015 and was first housed at Pump Project's former studio complex. ICOSA relocated in June 2018 to Canopy, East Austin's thriving gallery and studio area at 916 Springdale Road. Track lighting, lofty ceilings, and 1500 square feet of exhibition space are all features of the gallery. ICOSA is a 501 (c)(6) organization that houses a group of well-known national and international artists who have received multiple significant honors and grants and whose work is included in numerous major collections. ICOSA is dedicated to offering exhibition space that is free of the limits of the traditional gallery paradigm, as well as a forum for audience dialogue.
