Second time here in one month. The first time, I came alone to decompress. It is a safe place, the casita #1 had a soaking tub which I used twice with salts, spent hours with my fire right on the porch. The stars were amazing and I had everything I needed to be in nature and only an hour away from Austin.Loved it so much that now I came with my husband for a night to connect and relax.

Great place to reconnect with your spouse. Our place did not have a T.V. which we were grateful for. No distractions. Nearest place to eat was always 15 to 20 min. away so we cooked. Great time!! Will definitely visit again.(During the week)

Spent a relaxing Christmas at the Casitas with my husband and two pups. The one bedroom cabin was spacious with a fairly large bathroom. The casita was clean and nicely decorated. We were lucky to have the grounds mostly to ourselves and had a nice time exploring. They provided an extensive guide with lots of information on the area and a map of the property. The hot tub was a big factor when I booked and it did not disappoint. It was hot and bubbling away as needed. It was easy to get a fire going with all the materials provided and the grill also worked perfectly.

We have stayed at Hill Country Casitas multiple times, as it was our favorite Hill Country getaway place when we lived in Dallas. It also served as inspiration for building a home nearby. The Casitas were our “base camp” while our home was under construction as well as when we just needed some relaxing “Casita Time.”I have never relaxed as much as I do in this place. My husband and I both work in high stress corporate jobs, and the peace and serenity of this place is a much needed and welcome retreat. The rolling acreage provides panoramic Hill Country views. It is peaceful and quiet. There is always a lovely breeze. I love to sit on the patio throughout the day and listen to the variety of birds that stop to visit. Hikes up to the ridge neighboring the Casitas allow you to take in the fresh air and beautiful landscape.The Pavilion offers a great place to relax with family and friends, cook a gorgeous meal in the state of the art outdoor kitchen, or just sit in a rocking chair with a glass of wine and listen to the wind in the trees.We found each of the different Casitas we have stayed in (pretty much all of the studios and 1 bedrooms) to be luxuriously comfortable, private, and well appointed. The beds are soooooooooo comfortable. All of thelittle amenities like luxury bath products, local coffee and olive oil, and tasteful decor make us feel right at home.Ron and Mary are generous, gracious hosts. I would recommend (and have many times) this property to anyone looking for a little peace and tranquility in our Texas Hill Country paradise.

Staying at the “Willie”. If you like music and silence this might just be your heaven on earth. After an incredibly restful night’s sleep I wandered onto the private patio and greeted my neighbors. They included a vocal crow, one of my favorite birds followed by a painted bunting and a humming bird who chose to perch just a few feet away. It’s eight o’clock now and having taken my dogs for a little nature hike I’m back in my rocking chair. There’s a cool breeze blowing as the sun rises. I’m so glad when our A/C went out we came here instead of going to a chain hotel. I have to go to work shortly but I wish I could just stay through the weekend. I should add that it’s Thursday morning and I live thirty minutes away. That’s how special this place is. It’s so quiet and private I could almost dance naked in the rain. The bed was so soothing and comfortable I took a photo of the tag so I can get some new sheets for my home. I knew I was only here for the night as my A/C should be fixed this afternoon but the place has everything you could want for a longer stay, decent sized refrigerator, couple of hot plates and a microwave for movie night popcorn. There’s that crow again just saying hello. If you like your privacy and your neighbors to be happy songbirds then this is your place as much as it’s mine. I’d say stop swiping and start booking. No regrets on this stay, just happy memories!

Just wow! My boyfriend and I decided to do a last minute get away and what we got is way more then what we expected. We were truly able to escape reality and just focus on each other. It was a beautiful villa with a massive soaking tub, perfect kitchenette and a great patio perfect for grilling. They had a beautiful pool just walking distance and a great pavilion just a short drive away. They had bug spray, sunscreen, coffee, seasonings literally anything we thought of that we forgot they had. It’s a top notch place and will definitely recommend it to everyone we know!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hill Country Casitas! It was the perfect setup for our family of four. They thought of every detail and provided what we needed. The space was inviting and comfortable, and the grounds were so cute, too. We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience. Calm, Peaceful and Serene. Provided us the opportunity to unwind and reconnect. We were also celebrating our anniversary.We enjoyed sitting outside at night looking at the stars by the fireplace.The property and views are amazing. The Casitas were exactly what we were looking for.Thank YouRon and Mary for providing a place that provides relaxation and comfort .We will be scheduling more dates in the months to follow.

When I think of cabins, I think rustic. NOT HERE! Our cabin was thoughtfully appointed, with features as nice as a suite in a luxury hotel. They did the little things right in our cabin in a way that shows someone was thinking of guest comfort. The property seems remote when sitting on your cabin porch, but it's only about 20-25 minutes from two cute towns. The nights were very quiet and relaxing. We were very pleased and would definitely stay there again.

We cannot say enough fabulous things about the Hill Country Casitas and all of the people who work at this incredible destination!! Ron & Mary were excellent hosts who were extremely clear in their communication, and in all the welcoming literature in our Casita! Claire their property manager was both kind and very knowledgeable about so many things!! We loved our bed so much and often talked about how we needed to go and purchase the exact same bed for our own home!! Hiking through the property was magical, and being surrounded by Cedar Trees, the two amazing Madrone Trees, the birds, the hawks flying above and the cute little armadillo that welcomed us as well!! Our time spent in this little slice of heaven was just what the doctor ordered and we cannot wait to return! Do yourself a favor and book some time at this incredible property!! It's perfect for a weekend away from Austin, a family holiday gathering or simply a retreat weekend away!!! Thank you!! Melanie & Pedro 😊

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!!! I went with a bunch of girlfriends and it was the perfect setup for us!! The big kitchen was an amazing place to cook and gather!! Mary was an incredible hostess and recommended 3 fabulous wineries!! The only problem was I didn’t get to stay long enough!!! I will definitely be going back!!

Absolutely wonderful stay. This was our second time staying at the casitas. Everything is so very well-kept, clean, and stocked! You’ll never sleep in a more comfortable bed! Also, the amenities provided are beyond what is expected for away from home stays.This includes top-of-the-line, hand soap, dish soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, coffee, olive oil, filtered water in the refrigerator, coffee creamer, and more. The coffee blend is custom made for Hill Country Casitas, and it is the best flavored coffee I have ever tasted. Everything is so so so clean! Thank you for another wonderful stay!
