    What makes it fun

Want to try your hand at glassblowing? Check out Ghost Pepper Glass, a public glassblowing facility. As the area's sole glassblowing studio, we strive to establish an environment that caters to both the most talented glass artist and the most inexperienced hobbyist. Ghost Pepper Glass is first and foremost a place for artists and craftspeople to dream big and collaborate to create something that can only be manufactured by hand. We provide seminars for complete novices, equipment rental for seasoned pros, a retail space for present givers, and everything in between. If nothing else, we invite you to come in, say hello, and watch us play with molten glass for a while--but we cannot guarantee you won't become addicted!

I have been wanting to do this for years. Finally came home and a class was gifted to me for Three Kings. It’s a tiny shop/store but just big enough. It’s located just inside of Springdale road. They have singles and couples classes. Don’t ask me how much it was because as I said, the class is a gift. Whatever you decide to make will depend on what will take up your class time. Hubby and I decided to do small objects so we got to do two projects each. If you decide to do the pumpkins it’ll take a little more time and if you decide to do your own drinking glass you’ll only have time for just one project.I loved the experience and Shara was very thorough with safety and what your part in the process is. She’s also helpful with the color choices and how it might look as the end result. The gift shop is super small but it’s all that’s really needed to display the artisans works for sale. A picture of the creator is on display and a QR code to watch how it was made. I have to say I have a newfound respect for artisans. Never will I take it for granted the things I see even when sold in stores like Ross or Target. It didn’t matter what hands in what country made it. (Unless it’s machine made)*** ONLY DOWNFALL is that your project has to cool so you have to come back to pick it up. I’m sure if you asked you can pay extra for them to pack it up and ship it to you. I saw a couple of boxes labeled FRAGILE waiting for the postman. We had the opportunity to make three small projects but the last one my husband and I did one together as a gift to our daughter who was the one who gave my husband the idea to pay for this experience. If Shara can recreate our heart topped mushroom or show future customers how to create them, I really feel this could be a great Valentines date for the person whose love language is quality time.

I would highly recommend the Taste of Glassblowing class! I purchased this as a gift for my brother and then just tagged along myself; as the class was not 100% full they let me hang out in the glassblowing area to observe (and photograph of course) which was really cool! Well quite hot but you get what I mean :P The glass is very hands on; the instructors do enough to make sure that everyone gets a cool piece out of the class but they really work to make sure the participant is as involved as possible in each step. Though I think the price is worth the class itself; if you consider that they sell glass pumpkins in the shop for $50 the class is really a steal! All the instructors were fun, engaging, and informative, they let me byob, and all together this was just a great experience. I guess I have to buy the class for myself next time!

Both the glass and my mind were blown. There is something really special about instructors that are able to help people with zero glass blowing experience make some incredible pieces.I would recommend dressing lightly as it's referred to as a "hot shop" for a reason. Additionally, I would recommend getting to your activity early so that you can become familiar with the space and really focus on the safety talk as well as the explanations of possible interactions between colors.Risa is great at what she does and is very good at communicating throughout the process to help your artistic vision come together in glass form! Grisha instructed us as well and was able to make everyone feel comfortable and safe in the shop.TLDR: I would recommend a class to anyone looking to try something uniquely fun and make some lasting memories.

Had the best time at the glass blowing class. Perfect for a date night. Keith was our instructor and he was so cool and friendly and knowledgeable. It was more hands on than I expected which was great! Will definitely be back.

Went here for the “crash course.” To prep, I watched several YouTube videos, and got there early to look at gift gallery to get ideas which helped very little when instructors revealed only limited color options and half of them react to the other colors. Was really let down by the lack of education/explanation on if you do xyz to your glass it’ll do xyz. The instructors do 90% of the work which makes sense bc idk what I’m doing. Our items turned out so ugly and not what we asked for. Even asked for the exact design/colors of the one of the samples. Class felt rushed (despite being $75/person) and unfortunately our items reflect that.Suggestion: send customers a PDF guide (before class) of the color options, their interactions, and the twisting/spinning customization WITH examples.

For Christmas my boyfriend really wanted an experience! After doing research I thought it would really cool to create something together. I was going back-and-forth about the experiences but after reading the reviews I settled on the private class and oh my gosh it was more than worth it!We were able to make two ornaments and two highball cocktail glasses! We would’ve been able to make more but the cocktail glasses take a lot of time and we’re quite delicate to blow! The instructor was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions that we had! We loved it so much that I think we might make a tradition out of going together and blowing more glass! This is a wonderful gift and they also have a front office that has some glass purchasable‘s that are beautiful and everybody should have them in their home!

My boyfriend and I had an awesome time with our instructor Keith! They let you do a lot of hands on without comprising our safety. It’s definitely worth coming in for date night or an activity with friends!

Ghost Pepper Glass is amazing! The beginner class teaches the fundamentals of glass blowing and you get lots of hands on experience making your own cups. My instructor, Sarah, was extremely knowledgeable and did I great job teaching. Whether you just want a fun experience making a few cups or you want to start your journey to professional glass blowing, this is the class to take.If you aren't there for the glass, you should definitely check out the show room and the art available for purchase. The larger pieces are absolutely incredible and would make a great addition to your living room. I'm not a glass blowing expert, but it is some of the most amazing glass work I've seen. They also have plenty of ornaments, cups, and smaller pieces that make great gifts.10/10 would recommend. Glass blowing can get a bit pricey, but I would still recommend going and looking around even if you don't have money to spend.
