I have been wanting to do this for years. Finally came home and a class was gifted to me for Three Kings. It’s a tiny shop/store but just big enough. It’s located just inside of Springdale road. They have singles and couples classes. Don’t ask me how much it was because as I said, the class is a gift. Whatever you decide to make will depend on what will take up your class time. Hubby and I decided to do small objects so we got to do two projects each. If you decide to do the pumpkins it’ll take a little more time and if you decide to do your own drinking glass you’ll only have time for just one project.
I loved the experience and Shara was very thorough with safety and what your part in the process is. She’s also helpful with the color choices and how it might look as the end result.
The gift shop is super small but it’s all that’s really needed to display the artisans works for sale. A picture of the creator is on display and a QR code to watch how it was made. I have to say I have a newfound respect for artisans. Never will I take it for granted the things I see even when sold in stores like Ross or Target. It didn’t matter what hands in what country made it. (Unless it’s machine made)
*** ONLY DOWNFALL is that your project has to cool so you have to come back to pick it up. I’m sure if you asked you can pay extra for them to pack it up and ship it to you. I saw a couple of boxes labeled FRAGILE waiting for the postman.
We had the opportunity to make three small projects but the last one my husband and I did one together as a gift to our daughter who was the one who gave my husband the idea to pay for this experience. If Shara can recreate our heart topped mushroom or show future customers how to create them, I really feel this could be a great Valentines date for the person whose love language is quality time.
