I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I’m so sad that we just discovered this place 2 months before they close. First, the wine is incredible, however the real star of the show is their food. I would argue that this food rivaled food that we have had at Michelin starred restaurants. The food tasted so clean and authentic. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was top tier. Our children enjoyed the play area, which allowed my husband and I to enjoy some alone time. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and made to feel as though we were a priority. A true gem in the community and so sad to see it go.

This winery is a srene retreat hidden in the Spicewood/Lake Travis area of the Texas Hill Country. Rodrigo was our server and was very attentive, but not intrusive, and we appreciated his recommendations on wine and food. We split the Choripan appetizer, which was a sausage and bread plate, followed by the Entrana steak cooked medium. (Normally we prefer medium-rare, but medium was spot on for this cut of meat.) We had the grilled vegetables and the bread left over from our appetizer in addition to the steak which made for a perfect meal for 2 people. We shared a flight of three red wines. The pours on the flight were very generous, unlike so many wineries we've visited. We highly recommend El Gaucho Winery and ask for Rodrigo as your server. He was the best!

We are from Houston and when we asked someone for a recommendation for a winery “near by” while we were in Lakeway, TX…. They suggested El Gaucho…. They did NOT disappoint!!!! The wine is VERY good-(and I’m not too bad of a wine snob) I have done the Napa/Sanoma CA wine experience SEVERAL times…and enjoy it… This is Argentinian wine…and it is SPECIAL! The food accompaniments were spot on! The whole experience was extraordinary! Thank you for everything y’all did/do to make wine “tastings” so wonderful! Bill & Laura B

The property definitely has potential but it didn't fully met my expectations in terms of ambiance. The views are stunning but location and layout of the seating areas do not really optimize the view. For example I didn't want any trees eye level on the perimeter of the patio blocking those 360 degree views. Also there wasn't really anywhere to walk the property it just felt like parking lot and the main patio area. Service was friendly and professional, but something about it didn't give me that Vineyard feel.

Great patio to have drinks and tapas/appetizers. Beware that most tapas are very small. I liked the Patatas bravas and the eggplant bruschetta. The Spanish gin and tonic with rosemary and lemon was good. Their burger was also pretty good.

A wonderful experience all around. Their wines are spot on, the setting is beautiful and serene and the food is heavenly, from the empanadas to the grilled veggies and the perfectly done bifes. Hands down the best Argentinian place we’ve been to in the United States. Can’t recommend it enough!

This place is awesome! Super cool vibes, amazing food, and great wine. Had the opportunity to spend some time with the owner Bennett and he was so cool. Parker was our server and she was the best ever. The folks that run the restaurant were so nice and the food is out of this world. My wife said it’s her new favorite place. See y’all soon!
