We are from Houston and when we asked someone for a recommendation for a winery “near by” while we were in Lakeway, TX….They suggested El Gaucho….They did NOT disappoint!!!!The wine is VERY good-(and I’m not too bad of a wine snob) I have done the Napa/Sanoma CA wine experience SEVERAL times…and enjoy it…This is Argentinian wine…and it is SPECIAL!The food accompaniments were spot on! The whole experience was extraordinary!Thank you for everything y’all did/do to make wine “tastings” so wonderful!Bill & Laura B

The property definitely has potential but it didn't fully met my expectations in terms of ambiance. The views are stunning but location and layout of the seating areas do not really optimize the view. For example I didn't want any trees eye level on the perimeter of the patio blocking those 360 degree views. Also there wasn't really anywhere to walk the property it just felt like parking lot and the main patio area. Service was friendly and professional, but something about it didn't give me that Vineyard feel.

Great patio to have drinks and tapas/appetizers. Beware that most tapas are very small. I liked the Patatas bravas and the eggplant bruschetta. The Spanish gin and tonic with rosemary and lemon was good. Their burger was also pretty good.

A wonderful experience all around. Their wines are spot on, the setting is beautiful and serene and the food is heavenly, from the empanadas to the grilled veggies and the perfectly done bifes. Hands down the best Argentinian place we’ve been to in the United States. Can’t recommend it enough!

This place is awesome! Super cool vibes, amazing food, and great wine. Had the opportunity to spend some time with the owner Bennett and he was so cool. Parker was our server and she was the best ever. The folks that run the restaurant were so nice and the food is out of this world. My wife said it’s her new favorite place. See y’all soon!
