Amazing stay. Traveled from Boston just after coming across this place on a quick Google search, and didn't disappoint. Great couples retreat. Quiet place away from city noise. The nest is probably not the place for kids or older adults given the bridges and stairs. Air conditioners was definitely a plus... stores are a bit far so be sure to buy snacks and drinks on your way there....and enjoy nature.

This was a great experience. I enjoyed it, it was a unique and fun experience way to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The surrounding area has plenty to do for a weekend trip, and the view cannot be beat. We stayed in the Willow treehouse, and it was beautiful to walk across the suspension bridge and at the end of the night going into our little treehouse to get rest. The mornings were magical as birds are awakening and singing. The only thing I wish could have been different, I wish we had a bathroom attached to our room, but it was a luxury worth giving up to be able to experience the treehouse life for a weekend. You do hear cars pass by on the nearby road, but that didn’t bother us, we found it a little soothing.

We recently stayed in the Lofthaven and it was such a special, unique getaway for our anniversary. I surprised my husband with it and it was just what he needed, a quiet place in nature to just relax and take it easy. It was clean, the AC worked really well, the waterfall tub was nice and easy to adjust the temperature, the shower’s hot water was working great, and the staff was great when we asked for extra coffee creamer and washcloths. The pool was also amazing, clean and the perfect temp. We enjoyed swimming, taking walks, star-gazing at night, and coffee on the patio in the mornings. There are several unique local restaurants to choose from just 5-10 minutes away. We loved Guernica’s Cafe, Angel’s Icehouse and It’s All Good BBQ.
I recommend this place 1,000 times over, especially for a special occasion. I know it’s a little pricey compared to other options but totally worth it for something you can’t find anywhere else.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere and friendly service at Cypress Valley! We were actually there during the catastrophic flooding of July 4th weekend. The dam overflowed and the main exit and entrance road was completely blocked by strong currents and water that was continuing to rise. We were asked to evacuate and assisted by Beau the property manager in doing so which I’m grateful for. I told staff I was worried about the costs because our trip was being cut short and they assured me it would be taken care of and the portion of our stay we weren’t able to attend would be refunded. This really helped me breathe a sigh of relief because it would have been a financial hardship in addition to a scary experience!
It was a really impactful time and I am glad the staff was responsive and competent in handling the situation!
I can’t wait to go back for future trips to enjoy the trees and nature!

I stayed at Juniper with my wife. The setting was scenic and a nice relaxing escape from the city. We slept really well. The room was cool and very well maintained. The location was perfect, as we were able to go hiking nearby in Inks Lake, and visit Austin. My only complaint was the short walk to the bathroom, which could probably be remedied by choosing a different treehouse.

We really appreciate the quiet time but the things we notice staying at The Nest. First things first walking in the place was great but there were hand prints on the windows in the kitchenette there was also no hot water so had to use kettle for hot water to clean dishes. Being in a cleaning business it’s a little concerning it’s just not very hygienic it just didn’t smell clean, There was no cleaning supplies to clean our own messes so felt dirty the whole weekend, There should be at least an all purpose cleaner.
Going into the bedrooms it was cold each night staying here and the place is not insulated. We had to turn the unit up in the master to at least 78 or higher for it to register the heat to kick on And of course couldn’t turn the ac on when it decided to get warm it would just leak water! This didn’t really mind I guess just thankful it wasn’t 100+
Getting into bed, the bed just did not smell clean, blankets just smell used.. so I would plan on bringing your own set we had our own stuff (Thankful)
On the second deck where the look out point is there is a step that is broken if not fixing (only because it does look great with the whole look) I would put a sign up or some lights just being excited one of us almost step right through the big gap. (It was dark) Not really a big deal just a thought.
Lastly, the bathhouse there is a crack at the bottom of your tub, so was not able to take a bath, had to shower with the door open because there was no ventilation, fan or airway for steam to escape. Now, in the state of Texas by law, you have to have some type of ventilation or fan in a bathhouse. You do not have to have AC, but ventilation has to be provided so you can prevent future mold growing, now I do see windows on the top of the bathhouse, but they are not open and no way to open them. also with the shower be careful had to plug a hole up in the shower right where the shower head is ( look don’t judge you never know)
Not really here to complain… But to pay what we paid to stay here each night I only hope they fix these problems before someone else books or someone’s sees this review and doesn’t waste their money!! Best of luck!

This venue was the perfect hidden gem just outside of Austin for our intimate evening wedding. The outdoor space was beautiful for our ceremony and reception with the Ranch House to get ready and welcome family. It was a perfect wedding day with Kimberly's help coordinating with vendors and helping guests so we could fully enjoy it all. She made planning a breeze and understood what we wanted for our special day. The Lofthaven cabin was the perfect newlywed suite and the views were incredible. Highly recommend for a micro-wedding!

Cypress Valley Event Center was the first, and only, venue that my husband and I toured for our wedding. The beauty of this venue was only multiplied by the various different spaces that are available to you, offering incredible variety in where you can hold the events of your wedding. For ours, we held the rehearsal dinner in the ranch house (which easily fit our 40+ guests and the caterers), our ceremony in the elevated platform between the trees (a unique and unforgettable setting to be wed), and the dinner and dancing in the covered area on the grounds (which, due to weather, protected us easily from rain alongside the many umbrellas provided by the venue).
The various tree houses and lodgings on-site allowed us to keep our friends and family close to us for the entirety of our stay. We were blessed to be able to spend so much time with those that travelled especially far for our wedding, an opportunity that very few venues can provide.
All of this taken into account, the most wonderful part of our experience with Cypress Valley was the people. Kimberly, who was responsive and attentive throughout our year of planning, provided tours, joined us for event planning on site, and was genuinely excited for us at every step of the way. The on-site groundpersons were quick to support us when logistical or vehicular trouble came up.
At every opportunity, the Cypress Valley professionals did everything they could to ensure that our day was as special as it could be. I cannot say how grateful we are to have worked with such amazing people at such an amazing venue, and I cannot recommend Cypress Valley Event Center enough.

I stayed at Willow. The room was wonderful, the restrooms were at a walking distance and super clean. I loved my stay here. It’s a perfect romantic gateway.

An incredible space for a wedding or any other large get together. The staff were prompt and accommodating and all of the tree houses, glamping tents, and the event space were spectacular and well kept. The ranch house is a stunning place to host up to a 40 person get together and the property is enchanting. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

They cancelled our honeymoon plans 2 days before our arrival “because of heat” as if it doesn’t get hot in Texas in July. Didn’t offer any compensation besides our refund after we planned our entire trip around their location. Wouldn’t call me back either. Only wanted to deal with my wife. There’s lots more I’d like to say but I’ll keep it civil.

Beautiful and peaceful! Loved the bouncy bridge entrance and having coffee on the deck with the giant cypress. "Rustic bathrooms" to me mean no plumbing, but these were fully plumbed, clean and comfortable, barn wood in chevron patterns, etc. Very short walk from Willow. Customer service is mostly automated. The humans were responsive during their standard business hours. Had most of the place to myself, enjoyed the stars, wildflowers, butterflies, and herons. Bed was comfortable, fantastic pillows. Would stay here again!

Recently stayed here for 3 nights. It was so peaceful and rejuvenating. Staying 40ft in the air gets you far away from everyday annoyances and we were greeted by song birds, geckos, and owls. Spent half of the stay in the bath house in the lofthaven. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet vacation. I will certainly be back very soon.

We stayed at the Yoki. This was a very neat and a fun place to stay. Totally unique and an experience I would say everybody should try at least once. My wife wasn’t fond of the swaying bridge to cross to get to the house, but more so to go back across it to get to the bathroom, especially in the middle of the night. It is lighted and to me doesn’t seem dangerous but can certainly be inconvenient to some. But a better solution than the community shared bathroom the other treehouses offer. The bed was comfortable and cozy. Like the website says cell service is spotty, don’t pack heavy, it really is meant to just relax and get away and enjoy nature. It is as advertised in that regard. The soaking tub was a really neat cool feature of the Yoki too. It is heated also. It just appeared to have some green algae around the bottom near the drain.
I gave 4 stars bc when we arrived the sun was out and pretty warm in there. So we turned on the “AC” and it made awful squeaky, grinding, odd noises the entire time and never did really cool down. Luckily we came in winter so we knew once sun went down we didn’t need the AC, and we opened the windows to cool down. I just don’t know how if this were the summer how comfortable would it be. In the morning it was pretty cold so we turned the same unit on for heat and started making the same awful sounds and didn’t put out any immediate heat so we turned it off and used the floor space heater which worked perfectly. And to be fair we never contacted the owners to complain or attempt to fix anything. Wasn’t necessary, just a heads up for the owners and next occupants.
The other reason for 4 stars was in the morning we wanted a warm cup of coffee to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise. But unfortunately all the coffee packets provided were all expired, 12/9/22. We don’t do expired products in this family.
And for the price of this place I would at least expect good fresh coffee. So I personally don’t think it’s worth $600+ a night but definitely a cool place and glad we tried it once.

This is such an amazing experience. We stayed in the YOKI Treehouse and it was beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. Built sturdy and soundly 40’ in the air. AC/Heater worked great. Soaking tub was essential for the coils weather we received during our stay. It have already recommended to all my friends they have to go for a weekend because it’s worth it. Amazing service, easy check in/out process and no one bugged us while we were there. Also went to Stone House Vineyard and it was amazing too. All and all, 10/10 and I recommend everyone goes for this experience, you will not regret it!

We had an incredible and enchanting time in the Nest. From the gorgeous views to the super cozy cabins up in the sky. Staff was incredibly accessible and we will be returning very soon.
The only downside was saying goodbye. We weren't but ten miles away, heading home, and we already missed it. You will miss it too.

Absolutely - the most beautiful wedding that I've ever attended!! This place is actually a hidden gem that definitely offers a fairy tale, magical, unforgettable, romantic, lovely and unique ceremony that will make every dream come true for any bride (and groom) with memories that will be cherished forever!!
