Quaint resort. Charming atmosphere. Best part was spending time with friends there elevating the experience. Great to be so close UT Austin.

Beautiful property. But, that can't make up for the horrible customer service and communication. They will sell you a pretty picture of what they can provide and fail to deliver or even communicate. Save yourself the stress and go to the Four Seasons or a real luxury hotel that prides itself on good service, especially if planning an event. I wish I would've listened to others advice before getting my hopes up on them. Huge disappointment!Show less

They take too long to serve you, I'm talking about up to 40 minutes to bring you the menu and another 30 minutes to bring the food, definitely bad service, apart from that I still got up from my table to ask them for the menu, well two days in a row with that problem I chose to go to eat outside the hotel the truth 😏

This place is just amazing! Stayed in the Mountain side room and has a library. Breakfast was delicious and everyone was so attentive! My only complaint is the shower situation, there is no door to the shower stall and the water pressure is so strong, kind of like a pressure washer. Also there is no covered parking. Other than that, I really enjoy my time here.

Recently stayed at commodore and it doesn’t disappoint, I can see why it’s rated one of the best hotels in Texas. Staff was very accommodating, property is beautiful and the food at both restaurants is amazing. They are very dog friendly and my pups also really enjoyed their stay. This is my go to hotel when in Austin from now on.

This is probably the most cheap and classless property in Austin, Texas. What's worse is the restaurant and the managerial staff that work at this establishment. They are so grotesque to their employees its gross! The dishware was filthy with dirt and fingerprints, not to mention pieces of hair left on the linens. Our food was cold, and the kitchen wouldn't even rewarm our dish because they said it would ruin the food. We asked to speak with the GM, but the floor manager said they were on a conference call for the next three hours so they weren't able to speak with us. When our check came, the wrong drinks were on our tab, so we asked them to change the drinks, but the manager said the bartender saw us having those drinks, so the ticket couldn't be changed. This place is an utter circus, so beware, never come to this dump.

My fiancée and I chose this spot for our evening after the wedding. After our weekend here, I would agree that the property is gorgeous, BUT not an ideal place for hospitality. For all the investment to stay at this place, it really is a shame that guest services were severely lacking.Property: The grounds are well maintained, and lots of staff are around to ensure that the property is pristine! Taking a tour of the garden and chairs near the pool felt like a tucked away little paradise in the city. The showers are a bit odd as other reviewers said previously.Guest Experience: We booked the hotel for our post wedding evening and ensured we told the front desk multiple times it was the place we chose for our wedding night after getting married at Springdale Station. Upon entering our room, we were left with a card from the front desk for another couple as it appears they switched our rooms upon arrival. No worries, I would hope that they would return the same graciousness that we knew other couples received.Upon checkout, we had given the front desk feedback that our waitstaff at the Mansion was incredible! Emilio was fantastic and deserves all the accolades for his friendliness and hospitality. We also gave the feedback that we would have loved a “thank you card” for choosing to stay at the hotel, as we saw for the patrons that were in our room prior to us checking in, but really didn’t get that same hospitality. Our front desk attendant proceeded to tell us our prepaid reservation needed to be charged again, and then showed us how much we owe in valet. There was a subpar apology for the miscommunication and proceeded to tell us we would be double charged.Knowing that it was our wedding night, the smallest gesture really would have gone a long way. I imagine that couples are looking to this estate for their nuptials and as locals, thought it would be really managed with more grace. I just wished there was some kind of acknowledgment that we got married even it was a small card to the couple or acknowledgment from staff. All in all, at the moment, a beautiful couples retreat but would absolutely NOT recommend this place for any bride and groom couples looking for a wedding night treat. Future couples booking their wedding here or couples staying here for their wedding night, you should absolutely NOT book here as hospitality or acknowledgment around weddings was nowhere to be found.EDIT: We heard back from the hotel and they reversed our valet charges for the weekend as a gesture of kindness after we asked for it. They did not proactively reach out to us.

Beautiful resort. Unfortunately, couldn’t take full advantage of the beauty while visiting in winter. I can say though that the service was fantastic. My flight to Austin was delayed by 4 hours and I didn’t get to the resort until about 3 am. Still, the night staff met me at the door. They also left complimentary margarita components in my room, since I missed the welcome drinks service during regular daytime check in. Incredibly thoughtful people.

I always stop here for a good drink before heading down the Rainey gauntlet. It’s good, well priced (for Rainey) and the creative craft cocktails are allot of fun!At first I kept looking for some sort of hamster running in the ceiling tubes, but after realizing the food violations that would come from this, I decidedly asked someone… the tube shoots a drink from one side of the bar to the other in order to shake it up! It’s allot of fun & if it’s not too busy, they’ll show you how it works!Great place to start & end the night. Lovely staff, clean & lots of creative nooks for pics!
