Very knowledgeable bartender and servers. It was a great culinary experience to dine here.

This place exceeded my expectations, and was overall a great experience. We went during happy hour and ordered primarily off happy hour menu, the portions were all very good and larger than expected. The vibe was on point too, the bartenders were so friendly and talkative. The reviews for this place are unfair, mainly the “hard to find”, just follow google maps? I don’t think the difficult to find should be indicative of the quality of the place, especially when it’s super vibey once you walk in. Also, margarita is best in Austin.

Impeccable meal. Went with 5 friends, ordered 1 of ~everything, can’t go wrong, shrimp dish blew the doors off, bone marrow was incredible- never seen that on a menu anywhere else. No seed oils. So good, great service, great vibe.

This is my second visit, primarily due to the high ratings (though I'm not sure why) and the tendency for people to be drawn to positive reviews. The menu is difficult to read; at our table, we could only decipher about half the words. The food is overly fancy, seemingly for the sake of being fancy, and lacks flavor. This is a restaurant that prioritizes prestige, expensive ingredients, and presentation over actually satisfying its customers. You'll easily spend hundreds of dollars here, only to immediately seek out the nearest fast food. Although they claim everything is family-style, the dishes are surprisingly difficult to share. For instance, the half chicken is literally that—half a chicken—so I hope you have decent butchering skills. Additionally, the setting sun was blinding and uncomfortable.

Comedor was mentioned to me by many people as a much try place. I was very disappointed with my experience. From finding where the place is located to overly priced menu item that don't justify their price tag considering the taste. The only thing that matched my expectation was the ambience. But I don't want to pay exorbitant amount of money for amazing ambience and average food and service.Just a heads up, the place is difficult to find. The entrance is almost hidden behind a wall and we had to walk 2-3 times around to figure it out.

The best meal I had in Austin! It was such a creative menu and presentation, our table really enjoyed the tuna aguilache, beef tartare, grilled octopus, bone marrow, sundae, and the tajin pavlova. We also got some cocktails and mock tails and thought those were tasty too. Everything was extremely delicious and we had an amazing time eating here. The service was extremely attentive without being overbearing. We definitely will come back again!

I went to celebrate my birthday and my experience exceeded my expectations. The staff signed a birthday card for me which I thought was a thoughtful gesture. We had multiple dishes and definitely were pleased with presentation, flavor, and serving sizes. The menu is seasonal so you'll see it change frequently. The bone marrow tacos are a staple and recommended having at least once. My favorite were the Tacos de Pescado, which are on the lighter side. The Tacos al Vapor were delicious but quite messy to eat, beware eating if you are wearing white. The patio is gorgeous and feels like a hidden gem right in the middle of the city. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for high end Mexican food.

Excellent modern Mexican. One of the best cocktail menus, the mezcals are a must. Great variety for variety of diets - vegan, veg, carnivores. The veggies, tamales, steak and fish tacos are not to be missed! Bone marrow is delicious. So is the green salsa. For brunch, snag a seat outside.
