It was great a time well spent enjoying the scenic hill country and the lake!! Food was great & the hosts are gracious and attentive to your every need. I'd highly recommend them!!!

Absolutely everything about Chanticleer is wonderful! You can tell that a lot of thought and careful attention has gone into the creation of this lovely little cabin. Fresh baked cookies, cozy sweaters, comfy bed, and screened porch with fireplace are all part of the experience. We loves it and will definitely return!

This place is heaven compared to the rat race in the city. Early morning sunrise and coffee. Reading the good book (Bible). Cooking on the grill. Sitting in the screened in porch eating homemade icecream. And got to mention the wonderful couple that went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. Thank you both Mr. & Mrs. Mellinger. 🤗

Absolute heaven! What a perfect way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the hill country. Especially love the porch/fireplace/s’mores - on a cool evening it’s so cozy to sit out all night, listening to the night sounds! Lovely, comfortable furnishings. We’ll be back.
