Capital City Bakery is about more than just sweet treats--our bakery was founded on a love of food, a desire to promote community, and a goal to provide Austin with high-quality, scratch-made pastries. One small bakery, a lot of love: All of our baked goods are produced fresh everyday, are cholesterol-free, and use locally sourced ingredients whenever feasible. Did we mention that everything is also fully vegan and delicious?

Reach out to them several times before they reported their business as "temporarily closed" to order and redeem a gift card. Received no response via email or phone, and their email address was disabled/deleted at one point.

I ordered a carrot cake, sadly did not get a proper photo before it was devoured. I was not looking for a vegan bakery, and did not even realize the cake was vegan until I looked through the reviews again! The cake was deliciously moist and flavorful. Pick up and messaging was easy, especially for it being ordered so last minute.

I figured I would give them a try for a $75 cakeAnd come to find out we were disappointed texture of cake was hard this cake is not fresh .It was for my daughter’s bday she was sad Will not go back fiesta and sams cakes are way much fresher and tastier .Dint waste your time specializing cakes and so expensive and to turn out a dud. 😌 Really disappointing

Ordered a jalapeño sausage cheese kolache and a sweet blueberry danish. Both hit the spot and were very filling! I'll be back to try the just egg breakfast kolache next.

Ordered a lovely vegan carrot cake for our wedding from Kristin with limited notice and she absolutely delivered! The cake was absolutely massive, delicious in flavour, very moist and the mushroom decorations were better than I hoped. I was the only vegan, and no one else could tell it wasn't regular cake, so extra bonus there :D

The strawberry 🍓 blonde was so delicious! The frosting was super sweet and creamy. The cake was very moist. Both frosting and cake balanced well with each other. The selection was rather small but it certainly was good!

I'm visiting from Los Angeles and my son took me to this bakery. He hadn't been before but heard great things about it.I had the peanut butter brownie and blackberry mocha iced coffee. As rich as the brownie looks, it wasn't too sweet AT ALL and it was rather delicious. The drink was different but good.My son had the carrot cake muffin and he loved it. I would definitely return as they had some other really delicious eats that I want to try. I would also recommend this bakery to others.
