I was disappointed when they stopped having pizzas. I used to order them (a few) for pickup very often and for some reason they recently stopped having them.

The food was good, with a definite Argentinian taste, though nothing particularly impressive. The Fernet was also enjoyable. However, the ambiance left much to be desired. While the exterior paint with the name on the building was very good, the attempt at mimicking La Boca felt inauthentic and confusing once you crossed the door, lacking a clear theme in the decoration. On the positive side, the service was welcoming, and we appreciated the ease of getting a table without a reservation.

We found this restaurant via an Austin food blogger and were not disappointed. We arrived around 1pm and were seated right away. The waitress told us that they had several reservations and a big party and only two wait staff so they might be running slow. She was available to answer questions regarding the menu, as we were unfamiliar with many of the menu items. We ordered three different types of empanadas and all were delicious and cooked to perfection, with a different dough twist to help us differentiate each. Each of us had something different: the bife ancho (gold mashed potatoes ordered as a side), the BAC burger, the lomito beef sandwich, pumpkin gnocchi and the pastel de papas. There were no leftovers - everyone enjoyed and ate all of their food! For dessert we had two alfajors: de maicena and de chocolate AND a cuatro leches cake. The cake didn’t seem soaked enough for a leches cake when I stuck my spoon it but it was perfect - not too soaked, not too sweet. Truly perfect. I’m glad we saved room for dessert. We all ordered water to drink and the waitress provided us with a small pitcher of water so we could keep refilling our glasses. She also kept the pitcher full throughout our meal. We wanted to order a drink from the bar but the bartender was not yet in. Other than that, our visit was perfect.

Friendly place, good food, nice atmosphere...As you might guess, it's an Argentinian joint, and one that delivers at that.Great empanadas, equally good alfajores, and other fun "classic" Argentinian stuff (provoleta!). That said, pretty much everything on the menu delivers - it's all really good, and when you add in the vibes (friendly staff, chill atmosphere), well, it's the kinda place you probably add to your standard rotation...
