Bill Oyster is a neighborhood cocktail bar and specialty seafood restaurant on 2nd Street in downtown Austin. Stewart Jarmon and Chef Daniel Berg founded the restaurant as a gathering place to enjoy a seafood tower of fresh oysters, an ice-cold martini, and a seasonal menu. Walk-ins only; no reservations accepted. We've found the best fish in the sea and made them as tasty as they can possibly be. Grab your date and come marvel at our seafood towers.

When the reviews of an Oyster Bar rave about the Smash Burger that should have been fair warning. We did get the burger and thankfully it was really good, but we are oyster/seafood lovers and that is WHY we tried Bills Oyster Bar. I have to warn that I ordered the King Crab Lettuce Wraps and it was so pathetic I was speechless. First I don't think it was King Crab cuz it was such a Teeny Tiny not even a full chuck of a section of the leg. If there was 2 oz of crabmeat that would be generous. So offensively sparse......and we did order the fried oysters too....underwhelming. There are so many amazing places in Austin, We gave Bills a chance. If you want a burger.....you might be happy but going for Oysters, Clarks, Mongers so many places have "you get what you pay for" yummies. I don't mind paying $40 for King Crab Lettuce wraps just don't make it basically a huge plat of ice and serve it with a smile. Disappointed.

One of my favorite oyster bars in Austin. Always top tier selections of seafood. I know the steak tartare is a hit but it’s not my favorite. It is covered in cheese so keep that in mind before you try it!

Seafood tower in particular is simply sensational. Burger is amazing for those fearful of seafood and raw bar. Service and bar keeping are also top notch. Such a great asset in an otherwise slightly blasé downtown dining scene

Oysters were great. The other food missed some seasoning. The drinks were good. Sat at the bar and the chairs are horrible and not comfortable.
Couldn't wait to leave because of that.

We had a great date night out and a delicious meal at Bill's Oyster. It was our first time visiting Bill's and our wonderful server Gabby walked us through the seasonal cocktail list, the menu, and the raw bar. Definitely one of my favorite dining experiences in a long time.

Feels like a neighborhood spot, understated and beautiful. Best burger, maybe ever. Had my ideal lunch here…bottle of rosé, frites, clam chowder, a smash burger, and season espresso martini cocktail for dessert. Debated also getting a Caesar salad and lobster roll, but had to cut overselves off. Jesse, our server, and all the staff, could not have been more wonderful. LOVE!

All I can say is, what a wonderful restaurant to dine at. Bill’s was a well needed dinning treat. I had raw oysters & lobster roll, and they were delicious. I sat outside & it was wonderful! The people working were amazing and the entire atmosphere was grand. Thank you!

Took my mom and tried the Mozzarella Sticks and Caviar, Lobster Roll and Bill's Burgers. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted great. The staff was very attentive. Go check it out!

The food, the atmosphere, and the service was amazing! From the raw bar, we had Prince Edward Island and Rhode Island oysters, which were phenomenal. The oysters were fresh. The fried grouper fingers were some of the best fried fish I’d ever tried. It wasn’t oily, it was well seasoned and paired perfectly with the slaw it was served with. My son tried the crab cake and said it was some of the best crab cake he had ever eaten. We finished with the New York cheesecake and it was the perfect way to finish the meal. It was so light and creamy. We will definitely be coming back!

Great potential, just need to sort out their acoustics. We had some great wine and food here and were overall happy with the experience aside from the noise.

From the sound of it they are working with a company to dampen the sound but right now on a busy Friday night it’s extremely loud so I ended up moving to sit next to my date so we could hear each other.

Definitely reccomend the bread and butter on the menu and the ebi burger.

Service was very good and accommodating. Will definitely come back but looking forward to when they fix the sound.

Great drinks (get the Chris Owens) and the dishes were fresh and creative. We especially loved the beef tartare, crabcake and of course the oysters, but it was all delicious. The decor is beautiful. Will definitely be back!!
