The bubbling fountain, hammock, and teak rocking chairs get the relaxation going outside. Inside you can unwind in the claw foot bathtub or on the luxurious queen size bed.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Bear Creek Retreat for our wedding - Caroline was easy to work with and extremely communicative, and the grounds were gorgeous! Everyone was blown away by how lovely the venue was, and the cottage was the perfect calm oasis for us during all the wedding hubbub. I highly recommend Bear Creek Retreat to anyone looking for a venue for their DIY wedding!

We took a very good care of the cabin and had so much respect for the property. Left the cabin the way it was and deeply cleaned everything before we left. We left before checkout time. My sisters and I together rented this cabin to enjoy a religious holiday. Cabin description says it fits 15 people and that is why we paid close to $800 for a cabin. The owner texted us claiming the they were “disappointed” that we had many people in because this “exhausted their cleaning staff”. The owner complained that we finished their coffee. They also said we should’ve emptied the hot spa and refilled it….asking for a reimbursement…All nonsense…..If you’re renting this cabin, make sure “not to use their coffee” and to ask for transparency and accuracy as there is lack of those. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay :)

I cannot express how much I love this venue! My husband and I got married at Bear Creek Retreat in March 2023 and are still swooning over how beautiful and comforting the space felt. Caroline and her team were easy to communicate with and open to all of our wedding ideas and requests. A perfect venue for a relaxed, mellow and tranquil wedding. Thank you Caroline!

Bear Creek Retreat is FABULOUS!! It is the BEST Airbnb that we have ever rented. The house is perfect inside and out. The landscaping, flowers and hanging baskets absolutely gorgeous. The amenities were OVER THE TOP! Every bathroom had everything that you would need. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had cold beverages, snacks, candies and coffee. Just amazing. When I arrived, the fountain out front was bubbling and the music was playing inside. Alicia thinks of EVERYTHING that would make your stay/event/celebration PEREFECT. I would absolutely rent again.

Beautiful, comfortable and charming home with a fantastic location 15 mins from DT Austin, immersed in nature! Wake up with the sound of birds and go to sleep with the fragrance of its surrounding trees… perfect for families needing a cozy home or couples looking for a romantic getaway! Stunning wedding venue, has an additional cottage as charming as the main house. The host has all the comforts thought out, includes great amenities, bath salts, yoga mats, board games, granola, coffee, teas, everything you can think of and she even labels everything and has a guide book. Amazing professional and sweet host! 1 billion % recommend :) L&M

I wish I could give Bear Creek Retreat 100 stars.

Absolutely amazing, the two quotes of the trip are "I wish we could live here" and "I don't want to leave"

Caroline went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding, we used the cottage as a bride and groom sanctuary and had the kids and families stay at the main house. Everyone had so much fun, from the kids climbing trees to the adults dancing on the beautiful dance floor/patio and everything in between.

The cottage is a dream come true, complete with private outdoor shower and relaxing garden tub. It was far enough to be private but close enough to still be part of the party.

The main house was absolutely beautiful, the porch on the front was one of the favorite hangout spots. The inside of the house was perfect for the 10 people we had staying there, we even used the kitchen to cook for the wedding.

The front yard is set up beautifully for a ceremony, complete with butterfly gardens that added some magic to our event. We were able to have about 50 people there comfortably. And we had our reception at the back of the house where everyone had more than enough elbow room. There was room for yard games, seating for dinner and still room for standing tables!

There's even a parking lot in the back where we had over 20 cars and still had room for more.

It's close enough to downtown Austin you can go see the sights, have fun and not break the bank on an Uber/Lyft back to the property.

Great venue, great location, great host, great experience. Absolutely perfect!

We're already planning a family reunion for next year!

Best wedding venue in Texas! If you are looking for a place with beautiful landscaping which requires minimal decorating, this is your place. It is a DIY venue so be prepared to rent everything separately. An added perk is having access to the venue for an entire weekend as opposed to a strict timeline. We had our dream (small) wedding here and hope to come back to celebrate our 10th anniversary!

Absolutely love this home. & we will definitely be back! The house is cozy and comfortable, and the backyard is simply amazing! The front porch is the perfect place to have morning coffee and evening drinks, even in the Texas heat. The AC and ceiling fans kept the house lovely. ;) The flowers, trees and grounds are simply gorgeous! The house is EXCEPTIONALLY stocked with bedding, towels, household supplies and (quality) toiletries. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need, in addition to some fun little extras. Caroline, the owner, is friendly, personable, easy to reach and accommodating!! Check in was a breeze and everything was as described/shown online. It is so private and peaceful, yet close to shopping for anything you need. Downtown is a pretty quick, straight shot also. We plan to vacation here with family from out of town once a year! Also got to bring our dogs who looooved the yard! No need to look any further for the perfect place to celebrate or just spend time with family and friends!!

My lady and I stayed in the cottage (booked through Air BnB) for 3 nights, and it was absolutely perfect for couples.
Private, cozy, and stocked full of amenities.
The bed was wonderful. I'm often disappointed with Air BnB beds, and this was not an issue at all here.
The outdoor space is private as well.
This location is very close to Austin, but also far enough away to truly feel like a getaway, and far enough away for the night sky to escape much light pollution.
Only issue is that we stayed during the freeze of early February '22, but the owner was quick and graceful to unfreeze pipes. Major brownie points for that.
In fact, we ended up loving staying during the freeze as it was fun to sit outside and take walks all bundled up, and then slip back into the cozy bathtub or bed.
Will definitely return.

We stayed at the beautiful cottage at Bear Creek Retreat for our honeymoon, & were absolutely delighted with our stay. The cottage was perfectly clean & had beautiful touches throughout the home. It was comfortable, private, & charming. It is secluded enough to enjoy peace & quiet, but close enough to drive out & explore the surrounding areas. The outside shower is a treat & the entire outside area is a great spot to spend the evening listening to crickets on the hammock & enjoying a fire! The kitchen had snacks available & the dishes needed to enjoy a home cooked meal. Absolutely a breath taking experience & we look forward to visiting again! Our host was helpful & responsive! Don't think twice about booking it, you won't regret it!
