Delicious! We had fried boudin, corn dogs, and roasted beets as small plates. Blackened catfish on fresh green and shrimp poboys next. For drinks we tasted a porch sipper or 2 and a spicy carrot mocktail. YUM and the service was lovely.

The shrimp and grits was good and really rich.
The gumbo was a little disappointing, for as many spices as they display, I wish they made more magic with the rue.
Also, the beans and rice weren’t flavored at all…just salty. I was looking forward to both having more play on spice. Isn’t that what Cajun food is known for…?

The best dinner we had on our long weekend in Austin. Everything was wonderful, service was fast and efficient. It was not too busy on a Monday night, once we ordered we were seat at a table. Ordered drink at the bar and food came shortly after that. Very uniquely decorated. Will definitely visit the next time we are in Austin.

5 stars all across the board! Do not sleep on this place! Wonderful and such welcoming service on a cold and rainy day. Food was phenomenal and very flavorful in that every ingredient didn't overpower one another and delivered a standout experience. Blackened catfish and rice? sold! Get the gumbo and add their house made hot sauce. you won't be disappointed! I look forward to going back

Really great hidden gem on top of School House with a great mezcal selection. I really wish they had egg whites for sours though, I would have loved to try their take on a mezcal sour. The seasonal summer watermelon cocktail is pretty tasty.

Really cool atmosphere but limited seating. Watch your knees, those iron chairs and tables are low.

Nice place for a romantic dinner. Nice lighting and furniture. The waiter was very thorough in explaining the different dishes to us. I loved the music!

We got bread service, which is just bread with butter and evoo, you could skip it (although the butter might be great I just tried the evoo not the butter).

We had the matrimonio which has bratwurst and blood sausage and a little bread. I loved it. My friend thought the blood sausage was a little too strong of a flavor but I loved the strong flavor. It came with chimchurri which tasted great. He loved the bratwurst. The matrimonio was a favorite for both of us, but don’t expect a ton of food for the price, just high quality.

I had the chicken and spicy beef empanadas. I liked the chicken one more. They were both decent. In the future I’ll try something else since there’s a lot of interesting authentic-looking options on the menu.

Prices range from high teens into the 20s for each person.
