Owned by sailors, run by sailors, for sailors. Established in 1965, Texas Sailing has set the standard for sailing lessons, sailboat charters, and yacht sales in Central Texas. The chartered sunset sail, amore sail, and chill-n-grill sail are fan favorites.
We met Thomas at the boat, 7pm, and brought our own wine (Peach Moscato from Fredericksburg). We spent the next two hours floating along, enjoying the cool light breeze, the lake, scenery, and stories about the lake. I got extra credit points from my girlfriend for a perfect evening.
Overall it was a gorgeous boat ride from a viewpoint not everyone else gets to see. Worth it.
Swimming was a highlight—anchoring in a quiet cove, the kids had a memorable time soaking up the sun in a safe, welcoming environment.
What truly set the experience apart was the chance to learn the fundamentals of sailing from our knowledgeable captain, Clark.
