What makes it fun

Kome is a contemporary, Japanese-style dining space. There are many small examples of Japanese craftsmanship in the restaurant and menu, such as a growing Manekineko (lucky cat) collection! The food is not exactly traditional Japanese restaurant food, but authentic home-style Japanese cooking. It’s special because it has family history and reflects backgrounds from Japan, New Orleans, and Austin.

The sushi was ok. I've had worse but more often much better. The items are kinda fusion-y and seem like they would be cool but they are really kinda boring. Most of the items were fine but on the meh side. The worse thing was a rice paper roll and the rice paper was hard and chewy. Didn't send it back to the kitchen cuz it wasn't worth having a ruckus over but I wont go back. The price point is set for exceptional sushi and it was really more just nothing. Servers were nice enough.

alert: long wait time! At least 1 hour or more, no reservations.Great neighborhood sushi place. I think across the board they do everything really well. The staff checks on you like every fifteen minutes which is nice but also feels like they want you to get out as soon as possible. I would avoid the ramen and some of their sushi rolls are just simply too big and oddly a disservice to the fish.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Komé last night. Never having been here but highly recommended by friends, we decided to give it a go. The 4 of us tried many different menu items and everything was fantastic and the service was impeccable. We had 5 different rolls which were all very tasty, fresh and beautifully crafted. We also had the MaBo Tofu which was the best I've ever had the the curry noodles were amazing as well. We finished it off with a couple of their uniquely delicious desserts which were fantastic. This is definitely our new favorite sushi restaurant and the prices are very reasonable.

We love this spot! It’s fun to sit at the counter and watch sushi being made. Lots of different tasty things on the menu! The vibe inside is very cool.

Dylan was great and the atmosphere was too. Really good and positive energy. Really stellar aesthetics, as well. Johnny was very energetic and helpful. Taylor was caring and thoughtful. Overall great food, great costumer service and great interior design.Love Jon and Jan 😁

Friend and I were in the area and wanted a sushi lunch. We have usually have a “go to” place in the Domain, but I wanted to explore options. So glad I did; I think this may be my new favorite sushi place. We arrived early, before the lunch rush, and decided it would be fun to sit at the sushi bar so we can watch and chat with the sushi chefs. Great service, friendly staff, quality and delicious food, and ambiance. 😊⭐️
