Second time here, first time was several years ago and had a similar middle of the road experience. Food was solid but forgettable. We had two servers, one was either new or un-ambitious, and the other was knowledgeable. If you end up here, it does the job, but I wouldn't seek it out.

I always feel Fukumoto is an underrated sushi place. I have had wagyu sushi from almost all highly reviewed sushi places in Austin. No one has matched the taste of what I have at Fukumoto yet. The atmosphere is not the fine dine dim light vibe..but the food, it’s really good. If you are a sushi/sashimi/nigiri enthusiast, give Fukumoto a try.

One of the best Japanese food I have ever had is the States. Chashudon was better than the one I had in Tokyo.

Went here for the first time for a birthday dinner and it was magical. Really enjoyed trying the different types of sushi and will definitely return! :) my Favorite was the beef ribs that were so tender and flavorful, yum!!

What an incredible meal. Full Japanese experience that was authentic as I have been to Tokyo before. The food was really incredible and the service was nice. They catered well to my gluten allergy too.If I was local, I would be back, a lot.

The employee working was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My sister's got pancakes for themselves which they enjoyed and I got my dog a pup cup. It was worth the $2. It had a mini pancake at the bottom and was covered in whipped cream and real bacon bits. My dog loved it and finished it in seconds. Definitely try them out.
