We planned our special visit at Fonda San Miguel for a reunion of great friends. We made the reservation in advance and when we arrived, our table was ready.

All the staff were so nice and friendly and were attentive to our service the entire time.

The drinks menu surprised me, they have cocktails with very Mexican names and very delicious. I had a “Maria Félix” mezcal and I highly recommend it.

The food was excellent in adequate portions and a very peculiar presentation. With a very Mexican seasoning.

And finally the place, incredible… with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The place is highly recommended.

Fonda’s reputation is beyond reproach. It’d hard AF to get a reservation or get a seat after the first 30 minutes of being open. It’s for good reason too!

If you haven’t got a reservation, and don’t want to wait; then get there the minute they open. Find a seat in the plaza or bar and you’ll be good to go.

The food is perfectly prepared every time. The shrimp is my preferred protein but the duck is renowned. :-)

As for dessert, their tres leches with mango sorbet is heavenly. The presentation is hard to beat!

I recently visited Spare Birdie restaurant and was impressed by the food, place and price. The menu offered a variety of delicious dishes at reasonable prices, I recommend the Salmon and shrimp ceviche. The restaurant also had a unique space for play, which added to the overall experience. However, what stood out the most were the drinks. They were the best I've had in a long time. Overall, I highly recommend Spare Birdie for a great dining experience.

What an experience! The best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at.
The excellent food is served in a colorful, hacienda-style space with amazing art. The service was excellent. The cocktails were really good and the food was way better than what we expected it to be, including first course, main course and deserts.

Highly recommended.

Our group of 7 celebrated a birthday here in July 2022. Daniel, our server was personable, attentive and efficient! Kudos to him for helping us celebrate. The celebrant is gluten intolerant and Daniel was especially considerate of that and went out of his way to make sure her needs were met. The food was very good and met our expectations of something deliciously different. Overall a wonderful experience for us.
