What makes it fun

Shabu-shabu (derived from the “swish-swish” sound as ingredients are stirred/cooked in a simmering pot) is a Japanese Hot Pot experience steeped in tradition. Meats & veggies are cooked in a communal pot and dipped in sauce and served with steamed rice. DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya honors the tradition of shabu shabu while elevating the entire experience, making it an even more memorable and special event.

Overall a fun and new experience, dipdipdip Tatsu-Ya allows you to take part in a intimate piece of Japanese dining culture. The menu is beginner friendly and the variety of food choices is excellent. The meat was delicious but the broth was a little lacking, this is disappointing specially since this is a Tatsu-Ya branded restaurant. The only downside is the cost, it is going to hurt your wallet and for that I don't think I will be coming back any time soon.

What a cool experience!! Went with a group of 4 and we absolutely loved it. We were kind of confused at first about the menu and how to cook all the different things, but the staff was so attentive. Multiple people were taking care of us at all times and answered all our questions. The vibe is also so much fun! Cocktails are delicious. The bartender even came over to our table to ask me what flavors I like and whipped something up that I loved! We each got a chef prepared omakase and added on a few a la carte items. We all left happy and full! We will definitely go back!

It wasn’t a meal… it was an experience… the service was magical and the atmosphere was like one of those YouTube reels where people are jumping into waterfalls and inspirational music is playing in the background.The food was amazing. The price is expensive but it’s sooo worth it. I took my family because I’ve wanted my kids to have a great experience. It did not disappoint.I feel like it’s the best restaurant I have been in so far in Austin. Do not pass this gem up!

This was by far the best dining experience I have ever had in my life! Before we even stepped through the front doors, DQ was already making us feel like we were family. Our dinner was for my birthday, and waiting at our table was not only a card for me, but it was signed by the waitstaff as well! Chelsea was our server tonight, although it felt more like a guide through the literal adventure that is dining here. The customer service here is seriously service unlike any other restaurant I have ever experienced.Thank you to DQ and Chelsea for such a wonderful experience! I wasn't very excited about my birthday this year, and the kindness and camaraderie we felt changed that for me. I could not have imagined a better experience, and I am so incredibly grateful. There are genuinely no words that adequately portray how we felt leaving dinner. It's a wholesome feeling that I didn't know a dinner could even create!100 out of 10, I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to visit here at LEAST once! I look forward to the next time we get to go!

Where do I start? I went here for my birthday and I had an amazing time.The service was too notch, the food was so unique and tasty.The waitstaff was just absolutely top notch, so knowledgeable and so friendly.Also, it was our first time trying Japanese hot pot and it was a great experience.
