Fantastic public library! I spent a day in Austin for business travel. I met a friend at the library, and he showed me the highlights. Beautiful space with great amenities. I ended up working from the library for several hours. No card needed. Thank you!

The Austin Central Library is worth the visit if you’re stopping by into town!! Beautiful architecture and they also have a wonderful view on their rooftop garden where there was live music playing at the time of our visit. Many family friendly displays/events going on and the kids section has a fun creative space for them to entertain themselves

I had the cheesy egg toast, a bowl of fruit, and a large cold brew with vanilla and macadamia milk. Everything tasted pretty good!! The eggs were nice and fluffy and the cold brew was delicious even though it settled a little while I waited in line to order (I was early and ordered just a coffee at first since I didn't know how long I'd wait and hold the table). I took the only table available. The place is pretty small so I'd arrive with a lot of time to find one because there are no reservations. The prices were reasonable and the sandwiches looked amazing for me to try next time! The fruit bowl was artfully presented although there were not a lot of fruits, I liked how much care was taken to slice the grapes and arrange the peach slices in the bowl. There are a lot of plants making the ambiance really pleasant for Sunday brunch. The little magnet wall was just a touch of Austin weird, I loved it! I also had a bite of my friend's pancake and with the chocolate chips it was really satisfying.

Such a spectacular library. We went here as a stop on a vacation and it was so impressive! The many rooms available for conferences or study. The floors of books and up to date computers. Top floor Zen Garden to all the Art all over the building. Plus love love all the self services 😍 so I am ending this with the first floor donation to learn and grow. Oh my goodness, forgot to mention the world's best teen room( inspiring, creative, encouraging, all inclusive) #literallybestteenspace

Love this library. Contemporary and sustainable architecture in the middle of downtown Austin, right next to Lady Bird Lake and at the southern end of Shoal Creek.Great book selection in their catalog. Lots of collaborative meeting spaces, technology centers, monitors for use and areas where to go and study/read. Beautiful roof patio with a beautiful view. An incredible update from the precious central library.Paid parking is underground, entrance on the west end.

Never thought I’d geek out over a library space yet here I am doing just that. Austin Central Library is a magical wonderland for bibliophiles or people just looking for a quiet place to work. There are so many cozy nooks to curl up in and get lost in a great book. They have a large selection of books + media for all ages and interests. They have a dedicated children’s spot as well as a room for ages 13-18. The view on the garden patio is gorgeous and overlooks the river. There are computers and tablets available and the staff is really kind and accommodating. Daily parking is available and includes dedicated spots to charge your car should you have an electric vehicle. I can spend hours here and this is my new “work from home” spot.
